I was sent products from Candy Warehouse for my gift guide. All opinions are my own. All photos are credited to CandyWarehouse.com.
Growing up, my family didn’t do stockings. I was used to seeing them in movies or books but I didn’t really think much about it. However, once I got older and learned about the stocking traditions of other families, I was a little envious. There are two stocking traditions in Ryan’s family. One is that the kids are allowed to get into their stockings as soon as they wake up. They weren’t allowed to wake up their parents, and they couldn’t open gifts until the parents woke up. So as a way of holding them over until the parents got up, they could dig into their stockings. The second tradition was that they would get a chocolate orange in their stocking each year.
When we were first dating, I made sure to buy Ryan a chocolate orange for his stocking each year to continue the tradition. However, the last two or three years I haven’t been able to find any available for purchase in our area. I’ve spoken to other people in Ryan’s family who have faced the same dilemma. I decided to turn to the internet to find them.
Candy Warehouse has his beloved chocolate oranges, but they also have a massive selection of other candy, including many that are specifically themed for Christmas. I loved candy buttons as a kid, so I was excited to see that they offered Christmas Mega Buttons Candy. These are much bigger versions of candy buttons than I had ever seen before. They feature colors that are Christmas-themed, with each color of button having a different flavor. Red is candy cane, Green is Merry Berry, Yellow is sugar cookie, and brown is hot chocolate.
Candy Warehouse is a great place to buy in bulk so that you can stuff stockings for the whole family. Or, it would be a great place to buy candy to put in homemade gifts or gift baskets. I read the listing for the 150 count fun-sized candy I thought it sounded like a lot. I was still surprised at just how big it was in person. Halloween candy was in stores when this arrived, and I pointed out to Ryan how massive some of the candy bags were in the grocery store. This was bigger. I love how all of the types of chocolate included are name-brand, so nothing feels like filler and there isn’t way more of one type than others. It has a nicely balanced assortment.
The second bulk-size item we got for stocking stuffers was Foiled Crispy Milk Chocolate Santa Faces. These are simple chocolates that are foil wrapped to look like Santa. There are a handful of wrapped candies in each mesh bag, and then a plastic container holds all the baggies. These are good for stocking stuffers, but with them being in little bags they would also be great for handing out at holiday-themed events such as school parties.
Last but certainly not least, consider candy as a standalone gift! My favorite candy is sour power belts in green apple. A local store in my area sells the strips individually so I often grab a few when I head into the store. Candy Warehouse sells them by the case, 150 at once! At $22.50 it’s a pretty reasonably priced gift and it’s something I would truly be excited about. If your loved one has a favorite type of candy you will most likely be able to find it in a size large enough for gift-giving on CandyWarehouse.com.

Funny enough, my son gets 2 stockings. So my hubby’s family is very German and they’ve always done St Nick’s day which is the 5th? Buut then Ive always done stockings on Christmas, both of us didn’t want to sway from tradition so our kiddo gets both lol!! He’s a pretty lucky guy 😉 Side note I love that this site carries name brand delicious candy and candy you can’t always find in store!

We grew up much lie your husband did with stockings. I have never seen a chocolate orange, so that wasnt part of ours. We did have a real orange, bu I always though that was a nod to my Moms upbringing ( the old fashioned stockings)
I like the stockings with an old fashioned candy cane- for me thats par of the tradition.
It sounds like Candy Warehouse has everything including some of the retro candies. I need to take a look. -
I love to add candy to the stockings each year. Thanks for the great ideas!

This is very nice! I am always looking to stock up on treats for my grandchildren. I make goody bags for each of them, so this is nice.

I always get one chocolate piece in my stocking and have continued that with my children. We have done chocolate oranges, Santas, bears, and sometimes even the large chocolate kisses. It looks like candy warehouse will give us lots to choose from.
