With thousands of vegetables out there and hundreds of other nutritious foods, it’s baffling why people still stick to unhealthy meals. I suppose many live by the motto “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” But, it is broken. Replacing almond milk for cow’s milk is a small change you can make to your diet which can help you so much health wise. Cow’s milk contains a lot of calcium; however, it’s not absorbed well by our bodies. Especially not when compared to plant-based milk. This is why you should substitute cow’s milk for almond milk for almond milk. Plus, it’ll add an extra hint of flavor to your morning cuppa. Please take a look at the infographic for some more great examples of healthy food substitutes. Also take a look at their site and see some great healthy or organic food such as tofu from Clearspring.

I didn’t realize that about cow’s milk? So cow’s milk has no nutritional value basically? I’m just flabbergasted. I wonder if almond milk yogurt products will start up.

Thank you. I don’t do a lot of fresh cooking as it’s just me half of the nights and even with the kids, i don’t need enough to end up wasting money on fresh ingredients that go bad before i use the rest so little ideas like these are wonderful and easy for me to do.
FYI, the large print gets the idea across 🙂 but I had trouble reading the small print even after i downloaded the image and tried to zoom in.
    Thanks for sharing this though!

I’m all about the healthy foods, but I am also a chef. I use coconut oil for all kinds of stuff, and I have since way before it was at Trader joe’s and I had to buy it from the Indian restaurant supply store. Still, coconut oil doesn’t equal butter , just sayin’. I have a sort of ‘we love it all, but only sometimes’ philosophy. Some things in very extreme moderation are fine (like yogurt, because the enzymes are terrific), some things in such moderation that their appearance might safely be called anual (like cheesecakes) and some things become staples that my mother would never have comprehended. We use Almond Milk in all cereals and coffee and my husband has lost 25 pounds and I lost 19 – really pretty much just from doing that. Note to all humans: that stuff called “creamer” is not only vile – I’m pretty sure that it’s not even a food.

I have been switching foods out in our household. It definitely isn’t easy but we are making changes where we need to.

These are good ideas. I love Almond Milk. My husband can’t digest it so Almond Milk is a good alternate. Thank you for the other good suggestions.

We try and eat healthy. The problem we have right now is hubby has difficulty eating raw vegetables as he had to have teethe removed when he had cancer in a salivary gland. We have been drinking almond milk quite a bit. You didnt mention cashew milk, I bought some of that and it is delicious I wonder how good it is for you? Besides cancer he had a heart attack right before, so eating right has become a bigger priority.
