Thank you to National Geographic for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Four or five years ago, my daughters noticed the National Geographic Kids books at our local library. When the girls were young, they enjoyed the books for the captivating photos. Now that they are older (eight and almost 11) they enjoy the stories and fun facts contained in the books. I try to get the girls a couple new National Geographic Kids books every year.
This year, I picked up the Ultimate Dinopedia, Weird But True Know-It-All: U.S. Presidents, Bet You Didn’t Know: Fascinating, Far-out, Fun-tastic Facts!, National Parks Guide USA Centennial Edition: The Most Amazing Sights, Scenes, and Cool Activities from Coast to Coast!, and Dogs & Cats Sticker Activity Books.
Ultimate Dinopedia is the most up-to-date dinosaur reference book available. It includes more than 600 dino profiles, descriptions, facts, stats, and more. The Ultimate Dinopedia talks about how dinosaurs lived, what they ate, and a lot more. If you have a future paleontologist on your shopping list, the Ultimate Dinopedia is the way to go.
Weird But True Know-It-All: U.S. Presidents gives you the inside scoop on our Presidents. “Did you know that Abraham Lincoln was a great wrestler? That Ulysses S. Grant got a speeding ticket while riding his horse—twice! Or that Benjamin Harrison was afraid of electricity? And let’s not forget that President McKinley had a pet parrot that whistled “Yankee Doodle Dandy” duets with him.” Weird But True Know-It-All: U.S. Presidents is full of Laugh Out Loud facts.
Bet You Didn’t Know: Fascinating, Far-out, Fun-tastic Facts! contains a perfect blend of fun facts and silly stats. This book covers everything from astronomy and dinosaurs to revolutions and breakfast. It also has special features that include Extreme Weirdness, Strange Places, and our Wacky World. My oldest enjoys trivia games. I thought Bet You Didn’t Know: Fascinating, Far-out, Fun-tastic Facts! would be a fun way for her to build her trivia knowledge.
National Parks Guide USA Centennial Edition: The Most Amazing Sights, Scenes, and Cool Activities from Coast to Coast! My youngest has been studying US National Parks and really seems to be enjoying it. When I came across the National Parks Guide USA Centennial Edition, I knew it would be a hit with her. The book covers information on park animals, fascinating lists, fun facts, maps, cool things to do, conservation tips, and shows colorful park photos. She is going to love it!
Dogs & Cats Sticker Activity Books are cute and entertaining. Each book comes with an assortment of stickers and fun activities. Kids can “play” while learning about the animals. It’s a win/win!

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

Love NatGeo! My kids are huge into learning especially history and science; my youngest so mostly dinosaurs and, well, predators in general. This set of books is amazing, would love to win, seriously, my kids would be excited!
They have such great books. For kids, for adults, for everyone with curiosity. I have given them as gifts.
