Lately, my mom has been saying that her master bedroom needed an update. When I had the opportunity to review a new bedding set from Stone Cottage, I decided to let her pick out a set for her bedroom. She fell in love with the Stone Cottage Micromink Blue Quilt Set.  The Micromink Quilt Set included the quilt and two matching pillowcases. She was also sent a decorative pillow and a boucle throw.

The following are my mom’s thoughts about her new Stone Cottage Bedding.

The minute I first touched the Micromink quilt, I knew I would love it. It is so so so soft. When I put it on our bed, it fit perfectly and there was not a single hint of a wrinkle. The only way I can describe it is that it “flowed” onto the bed.

We have memory foam pillows that are extremely difficult to get into a pillowcase; however, with just a little bending, our pillows went right into the matching pillowcases that came with the quilt. I was afraid, since the pillows went into the cases so easily, that there might be a lot of extra space left over in the pillowcases, but not so. The pillows fit with about 1-1/2 to 2 inches of space on each side of the pillowcase which is perfect. They didn’t get lost in the pillowcases nor did they make the pillowcase bulge and look overfilled.

The contrasting decorative pillow is the same Micromink fabric as the quilt and it matches the color of the boucle throw so it immediately pulled everything together.

Speaking of the throw, it is out of this world. Honestly, if you could imagine getting into a bowl of whipped cream, that’s what it feels like to be under the throw. It is luxuriously soft and cuddly. I can’t wait to get into some soft jammies and curl up under the throw with a good book.

My husband sleeps hot and I’m always cold so getting a comforter, blanket or quilt that both of us are happy with can sometimes be a challenge. Not the case with the Micromink quilt. It’s heavy enough that I know I’m going to be warm at night but it’s not so heavy that my husband will be kicking it off in the middle of the night.

We have a queen size bed with a very thick mattress. I wanted the quilt to be extra roomy so I ordered a king size set. I am so glad we did. It fits perfectly.

This bed set makes our bedroom feel so inviting and has been tempting me all day. Every time I walk down the hallway, I peak into the room and smile. Only a few more hours and I get to curl up and let my mind drift into the softness of my Stone Cottage oasis.
