Thank you to Cirque Productions for providing me with admission to the event in exchange for review. All opinions are my own of course.
This year is our first year of homeschooling and I feel like during thanksgiving I was able to do a ton for providing extra holiday fun during our school hours and on the side. Christmas on the other hand felt a little bit overwhelming as I knew I had to decorate, shop and plan a lot more. Feeling like there was a bit of a lack of christmas cheer in the beginning of the month I decided that a Cirque Production would be the perfect thing to kick off the Holiday magic in our home.
My husband and I have only recently begun to indulge in acrobatics/circus shows. Last year we were able to attend Cirque Dreams Holidaze and knew our kids would love it. This year we attended a Cirque Dreams Holidaze show with our 6 and 3 year old. The show typically lasts about 1 and half to two hours. It was a little late in the evening for our 3 year old but she was quite excited to see all the costumes and decor.
My 3 year old daughter loves to dance and so I was so excited to show her the possibilities of where dancing and tumbling could take her in life. My 6 year old son has taken gymnastics in the past and loved the idea that what the performers were doing could someday be his job! The extravagant costumes, the holiday music and the comedy of the show did such a great job of ramping up our own holiday spirit. We danced more at home to holiday songs, tumbled more around the living room and my kids were inspired to make their own costume pieces for their living room performances.
Cirque productions does an amazing job of adding in comedy where it needs to be, making sure that the audience is engaged and ensuring a well flowing production. We experienced dramatic moments where the performances kept us on the edge of our seats as well as moments where we could relax and enjoy a beautiful moving dance between two people.
I sincerely love all Cirque productions but something about Cirque Dreams Holidaze makes you see the glittery, bright, and magical side of winter and the holidays.
I am a stay at home mother of two, who loves to create in every form, from cooking, to henna, to painting or sculpting, creating with my hands is my passion! I love to dance and let loose when the music flows right. Being outside is a special kind of therapy I think humans need more of as well as mindfulness! I love all things new and adventurous and am always looking to experience more of life 🙂

I have never been to a Cirque production. My friends keep telling me I should go. Maybe this is the year I do.
It must have been dazzling! These sorts of performers are incredible!
