In February I did my first Nadine West review. I am excited that from now on, I’ll be doing monthly reviews. I was happy with my first experience, but I was sure to give feedback on each item I was sent from my Nadine West account. This way, the service will continue to customize their shipments to my preferences. I was eager to see what this month’s bag would include. I lucked out again and got six items, which is more than usual! Here is what the bundle looked like when I first pulled it out of the bag.

While I did leave reviews and ratings for the items in my bag last month, I did not change my style profile at all. I am set to ‘trendy’.

The first item that I unwrapped was a red wrap dress called Spring Awakening (Burgundy). This dress retails for $35.99 which is the most expensive item I have been sent to date. This is okay because it’s also my favorite item sent to me so far. I never thought I liked dresses until just a few years ago. I had only worn dresses to weddings and formal events like prom. Buying a cotton sun dress is what changed my feelings on dresses. They are so comfortable when they are a soft, stretchy material! This dress is thin, and ends just below my knee – and I am only 5’1″. The sleeves are 3/4 length and fit my arms nicely which is a happy surprise because often 3/4 length sleeves end up being just shy of my wrist and look like they are long sleeves that are too short. The joys of being short! I just love how this dress fits and how comfortable it is. With it being knee-length and 3/4 length sleeves, I think it can work in most any season if a cardigan is used over the top in colder weather. It’s rare for me to find a dress that I like the color and fit of, and that isn’t too long. This was a true gem!

Next up is a top called Limelight Gray. This is valued at $18.49. This isn’t the type of shirt that I would typically pick out on my own. I’m not often a fan of stripes, and the neon green piping is also not typically my style. I do like how the sleeves have cute button details, and I wear a lot of gray so I like the gray and white coloring. I like this, but I just don’t love it. Ryan really liked it on me so that helped me to like it a bit more!

I got a second shirt called Lilian (jade) and was listed at $25.99. I was surprised to see this shirt in my shipment because in my style profile I’ve asked to not be sent anything blue or green. I like the style of this shirt enough that I will keep it and wear it, but I do wish it was a different color. It’s also that very drapy material that wrinkles incredibly easily so I’ll have to be careful to hang it immediately after it comes out of the dryer. I like how the edges of the shirt taper down, and give it sort of a free-spirited look. I thought it matched well with the Sundial necklace ($21.99) that was also included in this package. The necklace has a long chain and isn’t quite my style but I think it would be cute on someone else!

The earrings I was sent were also a “gem” for me. I’ve been trying to wear earrings more regularly. I like earrings that aren’t too bold or loud, but that also are not too simple. The distressed droplet earrings in gold were the perfect mix. I hadn’t worn earrings in a couple of months so please excuse how my ears were red in these photos. The earrings are a bit on the heavy side, so these will be reserved for special occasions and not long-term wear. I love how they look though, and they complimented the red dress nicely I thought.

These leggings were also just a perfect match for me. They are listed for $21.49 and they were one-size fits all, but they fit me nicely. They are high waisted, thin and super soft and stretchy. Wearing them leaves me feeling completely unrestricted, almost as if I’m not wearing anything! The stretch that they provide is really cozy for just lounging around the house in. I like how the lace pattern can appear a bit dressy, and perhaps would match up nicely with a tunic for an almost-dress like look. The tag on these says they should not be machine washed which is by far their biggest downfall, I typically avoid buying clothing that needs hand-washed. They are so cozy that I believe they are the most comfortable pair of leggings I’ve ever tried on. So, that is tough to beat, even if they do need hand-washed.

Last but not least, a pair of sunnies! These sell for $15.99. I wear prescription glasses most of the time (though you guys do not always see them as I tend to remove them for photos, so they do not glare). Due to me wearing prescription glasses, I don’t wear sunnies very often and feel a bit off in them – but that is true for any style of sunglasses. I’d love to hear what you guys think of these! How do you decide what size and shape of sunglasses are a good match for you?

Overall I was happy with my shipment this month. The dress and gold earrings and leggings were all pieces that I just adore. Both shirts were a little outside of my style, but are still pieces I feel comfortable wearing. The necklace and sunnies weren’t quite for me, but they were still fun to try on.
