Thank you to Cynara for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.
Cynara artichokes are grown on farms in Peru and Spain. Peru actually exports 90% of the world’s consumption of artichokes. Peru has fertile land and a perfect climate for growing artichokes. When the artichokes are ripe, they are hand-picked and jarred right next to the farms. Isn’t that great!
Cynara artichokes are nutritious as well as delicious. Did you know that artichokes are high in antioxidants and fiber? Have you heard that consuming artichokes may aid in preventing and treating cancer, can increase bile flow, aid in digestion, help with hangovers, and/or may help to reduce cholesterol? With all of those health benefits, you had better run out and grab a jar of Cynara artichokes!
When I received my Cynara artichokes, I used them in a number of ways. Perhaps my favorite use was in a pasta salad. I diced up a jar of Cynara marinated artichokes. I added them along with sauteed purple onion, minced sun-dried tomatoes, and diced (cooked) chicken breast to my cooked pasta. To finish it off, I lightly drizzled a bit of avocado oil, salt, and pepper. It was delicious! The texture and flavor of the Cynara artichokes were amazing. They were tender and full of flavor. We ate the pasta salad hot but, it would also be fantastic cold.
Next, I want to make a homemade pizza with Cynara grilled artichokes, spinach, and cheese. I think that sounds like a great combination!

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

These artichokes look delicious! I love artichokes but don’t buy them too often. I love the idea of using them with pasta.

Jackie,
The great think about our artichokes is they have a long shelf life and maintain their freshness! Right after the harvest, we jar them adjacent to the farms to maintain texture, flavor, and tenderness. Check out our website at cynara.net/us to try them and see our latest recipes!

Wow I had no clue that most artichokes came from Peru! Yourpasta idea sounds good. I love artichokes, but cant make them to save my life so the jars are what works for me. I like them right out of the jar personally.

I want some Artichokes now. I love them so much. I am really intimidated by fresh chokes bur canned/jarred chokes are the best. I can drink the juice, like pickle juice. I would really love a jar right now honestly after reading this. I have never thought about putting them on pizza. That is a great idea!

I use the jarred artichokes in salads and sometimes in an omelet. Hadn’t seen grilled artichokes in a jar before.
