I was sent a Nadine West subscription in exchange for sharing my review. There are affiliate links in this post. All opinions are my own.
I fell in love with the concept of Nadine West during my first review back in February. I got another fashion shipment from them in April and did a second Nadine West review. This is my third one and I’m excited to share a bit more of a spring-focused Nadine West bag with you!
Just as a quick overview for those who missed the first two posts, Nadine West is a service that has you take a style quiz when you sign up. You share with them what type of clothing, jewelry and accessories you like. Some of the information you provide is whether or not you like florals, prints, stripes, and so on. For jewelry, you explain whether you like gold, silver or both – and so on. You can also request not to receive certain items that you don’t wear. I’ve asked to not get scarves or bracelets, and clothing in certain colors that I dislike wearing. There are also some example photos of various styles that you can select. I have my overall style set as ‘trendy’. The bag is sent to you on a bi-monthly or monthly basis depending on what you request when signing up. You put your credit card on file, but you are not charged upfront. Instead, you are sent the items to check out and try on in person, and then you can mail back the items you dislike using the prepaid shipping label that comes in your package. You will only be charged for the items that you keep, and a piece of paper in the shipment tells you what the cost of each item is so you know upfront what it will cost if you keep it. You have about 3-4 days after your package arrives before you need to return, so be sure to open it and return items quickly.
The first item included in my may Nadine West was this gray cardigan with stripes on the bottom. I love cardigans and wear them fall through spring, almost daily. I’m not a fan of stripes, which made me a bit iffy about this one. However, I thought it paired well with a colored top underneath to contrast the white/gray. This is priced at $24.49.
Second was this ‘perfectly tied’ black dress. Last month my favorite item was the dress, and this month I fell in love with the dress they sent yet again! I am 5’1″ so I often have a hard time finding dresses that fit me at the correct length. For example, knee-length dresses often fall below my knees. This dress was a great length for me, and the material is very comfortable. I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of it this summer. A definite ‘keeper’ for me! It is listed for $29.99.
These “druzy drops” earrings are a gorgeous color. My favorite color is purple, and I like ‘raw’ gemstone jewelry which these sort of remind me of. They are larger than what I typically wear in jewelry. I prefer more subtle jewelry, but I like these enough that they will help me step outside of my comfort zone if I can pair them with the right outfit. They are listed for $14.99.
This Laila top was the only item that was a definite ‘no thanks’ for me in this one. I love the color. In fact, I think I wear gray more than any other color! I also like the sort of scalloped edging at the bottom, it strikes me as feminine and sweet. The big downside for me is how low cut the slit is in the front. As you can see in this photo, my ‘t shirt bra’ shows a lot in this, and I don’t think it would be possible for any bra to be worn with this top because it is so low-cut. You can see the entire band of my bra because it goes that low on me. I am not comfortable wearing clothing that I can’t wear a bra with, and I don’t like my bras showing. This one just wasn’t modest enough for me. This shirt costs $14.49 to keep.
Next up was this ‘twist of pearl’ necklace. This is very much my style of jewelry. Subtle, on the smaller side, but pretty! This is listed for $21.99 and the only downside I found was the chain of the necklace feels rather cheap at that price point, for me. I like how it will go with most any outfit!
This photo above is showing both the shirt and the shorts. I was excited to see the color of these shorts in the package because I love red and purples, but once I pulled them out and realized they were shorts, I was less certain. I rarely stray from wearing shorts that are anything other than denim, or perhaps black, white or khaki chinos. These cloth shorts are certainly outside of my typical style, but I liked them once I had them on. I think they are too casual to pair with this top, and I’m not certain what type of shirt I would wear them with yet. I’d love to hear styling suggestions if you have any! But, I do like them and I like going outside of my comfort zone and trying more colors. These are listed for $19.99 and are very comfortable.
The top is called “Scrunch Time” by Nadine West and cost $16.49 to keep. I typically stay away from ruching as it always seems to remind me of maternity clothing when on the rack. However, I have some friends and family members who wear ruched items regularly and they look great on them. So, this was a great little push to try something I ordinarily wouldn’t. I feel like it highlights my belly a bit too much, but it wasn’t nearly as off-putting once it was on, as I had imagined. I love how Nadine West gets me to try on things that I ordinarily wouldn’t, even if they don’t ultimately work out for me, because sometimes they do and it’s worth a shot.

Once again, you received some super cute items! I REALLY like the cardigan and the shorts, actually the dress too! I am short like you, so I don’t wear dresses very often. I just swim in them! I really like that this one ties to fit your body, and the fact that it isn’t super long. 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing!

The great thing about those shorts, is you can dress them up, or down. Add a plain black t shirt and your set for lunch at a cafe and a day at the park. The top you have on them is great. Add a pair of flats or dressy sandals, add jewelry and your set for a summer evening party.
Cute clothes! My daughter and I would argue over the gray cardigan!
