Nadine West sent me clothing and accessories in exchange for sharing my honest review. All opinion are my own.
By now, you all know I really love getting Nadine West fashion bags. You fill out a style/fashion profile when you sign up. It asks which colors you like and dislike wearing, which type of items you do and don’t wear (I asked to not receive bracelets or scarves) and so on. It also asks you to choose from some photos to get a general feeling for your style. I used to get the ‘trendy’ option, last month and again this month I tried the ‘romantic’ style. I have ultimately decided that the ‘romantic’ option isn’t really my style as much as ‘trendy’ was, but it was fun to try the romantic one for a couple months to see how it went! With Nadine West, you only get charged for hte items you keep. They send you a prepaid return shipping label and if you return items in a timely manner (I believe it’s 3-5 days after the package gets to you) then you won’t be charged for anything you return. It’s a great way to try new styles without the obligation to invest if they don’t work out!
I loved the earrings that were sent to me this month! These are pretty, yet simple dangle-earring and they are so lightweight. I love the look of dangle earrings but I don’t like heavy earrings. These are the best of both worlds. Plus at $14.99 the price is great!
These leggings were my least favorite item in this month’s shipment, and I think they are actually my least favorite item I’ve been sent from Nadine West so far. Style-wise, I think these are cute, so the photo makes them look nicer than they are, I believe. The quality and material is the problem. As soon as I touched them, I knew the material was very low quality. I am not well-informed about different clothing materials but I know that with leggings some are more cotton-like and in my opinion are more suited for relaxing than actually working out because they are ultra-comfortable and stretchy. Other leggings/athletic wear tend to have more of a moisture-wicking type feeling to them. These feel more like that than cotton, yet they are thin and have very little stretch to them, so I don’t feel like they move with me when I bend. They’re stiff, and thin. I feel like they just are not cut out to actually work out in, but they also are not stretchy enough to wear as pajamas or loungewear. Worst of all, there was “nesting” (where thread has gathered up in bunches while being sewn) on the outside of the legging in two spot. One in the crotch and one in the thigh. I wouldn’t have been happy with these at any price because the quality is just so poor that I wouldn’t want to own them at any price. They are $23.99.
This sticks and stones necklace was a big ‘win’ for me. I love simple pendants like this. It’s pretty and add a feminine touch without being too attention-grabbing. I like how there is just one clasp but it looks like two necklace. Simple but pretty and sweet, in my opinion. This necklace is listed for $24.99.
On the paper that came in the bag, this is listed as a dress. There are built-in shorts though, so I think of it as a romper with a long back end. I don’t own any rompers and I don’t typically care for hi/lo top or dresses. I really thought this was way too ‘out there’ for me. However, I didn’t hate it once I got it on. This wouldn’t’ be a keeper for me simply because I just can’t imagine when or where I’d ever wear something like this. I’m just not bold enough, I guess! Part of what I love about Nadine West though is it gets me to try on clothing I would never have otherwise. Based on the model on the Nadine West site, I actually should have pulled the top down to my upper arms, leaving my shoulders bare. I am 5’1″ and this was long enough that it hit the ground for a few inches.
This Seize The Day top is a color I really like, and I like the criss-cross on teh top as well. The only thing I’m not a big fan of is the stripes on the sleeves. I dislike stripe in general. This shirt is $20.99.
Okay, so you all get to laugh at me about this one. I didn’t read the paper that came with the bag until after I had tried this on and took photos. “This is a bit on the short side. I wish it were a few inches longer.” I thought, as the wind caught the bottom of this “dress.” At 5’1″ it’s really unusual for me to come across dresses that are too short, so I should have immediately realized it’s just a shirt! I like the way it fits my upper body but I’m not ures if I will end up getting much wear out of this. It’ long enough that it covers my full backside which is longer than i typically want in a tunic. For summer time, wearing this with shorts would mean teh shorts would barely show which would look funny. I don’t really wear capris (short girl problems!) so I may save this until fall when I can pair it with leggings. This would be a big ‘win’ for me if it were a different length, but I still like it. It is listed for $22.49.
The last item included was the exact same pair of shorts that I got in my May bag which was kind of a bummer. I’d love for Nadine West to create some sort of tracking system, to keep track of who has been sent which items to avoid repeats.

What a fun service, I always enjoy reading your posts about the items that you receive! I personally loved the last “dress” that you tried on, it would look great with leggings! Of course, it is super hot in Texas right now so it seems more like a Fall/Winter top. As always, thank you so much for sharing! đŸ™‚
OK the last one had me fooled as a dress too. It does look short, but hey, you are small, so I can see how you would mistake it as a dress. It would be an awfully long shirt on you unless you did the leggings. I do love the jewelry you got sent, I hink it suits you well. The romper? Hmmm the color is good, but the length in he back end I agree isa bit long. Maybe another box would have worked better. I like everything you try on from this company and you are a good model.
