I received product from Graco to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
Are you back into a smooth flowing school year routine yet? Thankfully, it’s not a terribly hard adjustment for us since we homeschool. But there’s still plenty of change involved. Schedules are more tight. New activities are back on the calendar each week. Music lessons are in full swing. With the return of September and the school year, there’s just a lot going on for everyone. But one thing you don’t want to have to worry about is your child’s safety. So that’s why I turn to Graco.
Transporting Children Safely
Whether picking up children, dropping them off, or running the carpool route, it’s important to always make sure that all kids in your car are harnessed correctly. The best place for kids, 12 and under, is in the backseat in the size appropriate car seat. Now, I completely understand that it’s easier to forgo the hassle of a car seat. But one of the most important jobs you hold as a parent is keeping your kids safe! So car seats is one area where it’s best to not cut corners.
Did You Know?
As children outgrow the weight and height limits of their 5-point harness car seats, it’s best to move them into a belt-positioning booster seat. Most kids won’t reach the proper car seatbelt height of 4 feet 9 inches until they are between 8 and 12 years old. Until they cross that height threshold, a regular car seatbelt is not the safest option. Instead, go with a belt-positioning booster seat that will ensure that the lap and shoulder belt fit correctly and provide the best protection possible.

Visual Of Sizing
This is our recently turned 8 year old son. He weighs about 57 pounds.
Our youngest son turned 6 in June and he weighs about 47 pounds.
And finally, here’s our youngest child who just turned 4 and is coming up on 40#. (Of course, she wouldn’t be able to ride quite yet since she’s about 2 pounds under yet. But I wanted to give you a size comparison as well as show how the back adjusts as kids grow.)
When I asked the kids what they thought about the Graco TurboBooster TakeAlong Seat, they said they loved it. The color, cup holder, and overall feel was appealing to them. So when the kids love it, you know it’ll be easier getting them to use it!
