I received samples of type:A Deodorant to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
About 12 years ago, I began a journey. I decided to start looking for more natural products and foods for my family. So while the journey has gone in streaks. (There were times where I purged the entire house of all food and only had organic and natural options. We are now more balanced road and consider most foods okay at least occasionally.) But one thing that I’ve stuck with being natural is our deodorants. Unfortunately, this did not always go well for us. I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on natural deodorants that didn’t work. So instead of being stinky, I’d throw them away and try something different. But, thankfully, I’ve actually found a couple of natural options that worked for us over the years!
type:A Deodorant
I was really excited when I heard about type:A Deodorant. Not only is it natural and safe to use, it boasts:
- Aluminum Free
- Sweat Activated Technology
- Easy To Use
- Soft & Smooth Application
- Long-Lasting Odor & Wetness Protection
- Clothing Friendly Ultra Shear Wear
- Non Irritating Application & Formula
- Perfect for both men and women!
Natural Cream Deodorant
If you haven’t previously used a cream deodorant, there may be a little adjustment in the way it goes on and feels. But honestly, the built in applicator on the end of type:A Deodorant makes for a seamless transition. My previous cream deodorant was a pain to apply as it would get under my nails since you had to use fingers. So I am especially loving the applicator design from type:A Deodorant!
Currently Available In 2 Scent Options
The new mantra is “the best deodorant comes in a tube”. And typeA: Deodorant currently offers two different scent options.
- The Visionary (Crisp, Clean Citron Scent)
- The Minimalist (Fragrance-Free)
So while the weather here in Minnesota has already started cooling off some, I’ve been really happy with the results I’ve seen with type:A Deodorant. I’m excited to see how it will do next summer when we hit the 80’s and 90’s! But based off what I’ve seen so far, I have high expectations of it meeting my standards.

I, too, have struggled to find natural deodorants that work. This is intriguing.

I’m in this boat right now, too!
I have used some natural aluminum free deodorants and they do work well. This one looks really effective.
