When I was a kid my aunt and uncle had a mural wall in their living room. It was a wooded scene with a deer and a pond if I recall correctly. I was pretty little when they covered it up. Prior to that, it really captured my imagination. I thought it was so much more interesting than plain walls like most homes had. The scene was calming, it really seemed to bring that feeling of nature out into the home.
WallSauce is a website that makes made-to-measure wall murals featuring all kinds of images. If you like nature-based scenes like I described, there are plenty of those. Doesn’t this mural make you feel like you’re on an island?
However, not all scenes are made to look like some other location. For example, there are abstract designs that look similar to abstract paintings. There is a whole ‘texture’ category that includes murals that look like everything from brick, to stacked wood, to bookcases to marble.
I’d love to have different textures on different walls. For example, wood-look walls in one room and brick in another. I love the look of natural wood walls, and brick both. It would be really rare to find a home that had both. I like how WallSauce makes it easy to give the look of both in a single home.
If you’d like a custom mural, you can even use a photo of your own. For photographers, how awesome would it be to take a trip, get a gorgeous scenic photo, and then use your own photo as a scene on your wall?
WallSauce offers self-adhesive murals or premium wall murals which are made from matte wallpaper and are applied with paste which is included with your order.

I love the brick wall. It looks so good. I would pick that one for the den.
