Is the weather getting colder by you yet?  Here in Minnesota, we’re still seeing quite the mixture of weather.  Some days still feel slightly summer-y while plenty of others hint at fall.  And winter has definitely sent its chill into the air already here too!  So as we pack away all the fun outdoor toys that we enjoy all summer long. I try to think of ways to keep the kids active and entertained during the long winter months.  And this year, we’re turning to Upper Bounce for help!

Set Up & Features

As we began to assemble our trampoline, we noticed a lot of great features.  Around the outside, you’ll find a high quality and durable safety pad.  Upper Bounce trampoline pads actually contain the best shock absorbent, high density, closed-cell foam that will not absorb water, mildew or lose shape.

And attached to the safety pad is a 3″ skirt padding all around the frame as well as the legs.  This lower enclosure net keeps kids, pets, and small items from getting underneath the jumping surface.

The spring-free bungee cord system ensures a safe jump for even the youngest of bouncers.  The  elastic cords are designed to allow for a wonderful and extremely soft bounce that propels the jumper up in a gentle motion.

There is a wide frame base with padded poles around the full enclosure which provides extra protection and stability as children jump.

And finally, the reinforced velcro entry secures the entrance so a child can’t fall off (or out) when jumping.  The opening of the safety net actually overlaps as an additional safety measure for kids.

Set up took us about 30 minutes but wasn’t terribly difficult.  We could have shaved some time off that but we struggled with the first step of putting the circle frame together.  Each time we got to the last piece, another would come apart as we attempted to finish the circle.  So after several minutes, we decided to just move on and as we attached the bungee cords to the frame with hooks, the pressure secured our frame together easily.

Final Thoughts

Geared for jumpers 120# and less, our family really loves this Upper Bounce 55″ Kid-Friendly Trampoline & Enclosure Set.  It’s a great way to burn off some energy, even on days where we can’t make it outside.  And not only do trampolines improve the development of motor skills.  The kids also work on sharing (since there’s only one jumper at a time).  And it’s a great way to stay fit too as jumping is wonderful exercise!
