Thank you to Verilux for sending me products to facilitate this feature. All opinions are my own.
If you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder or just feel down during the winter months, a Verilux HappyLight may be just the thing to get you through! As winter approaches and I spend less time outside (because in Minnesota, winter can get frigid!), I need something to give me a boost. Last winter was especially hard because we had many days with a windchill around -20°F which is obviously too cold for anyone, let alone a mom with two young kids. This winter, I’m turning to Verilux to help me boost my mood with HappyLight!
HappyLight is a light therapy lamp that mimics sunlight. These innovative lights can help improve mood, sleep, focus, and energy! Plus, they don’t emit harmful UV rays so they’re safe for every day use. Today I’ll share the features of two HappyLights from Verilux that both stand out for different reasons.
Verilux HappyLight Touch
The HappyLight Touch is a newly redesigned light therapy lamp from Verilux. Boasting 10,000 lux light and three brightness settings, it can be completely customized to your preferences. Depending what time of day you’re using it, you can select day light or a warm white setting. I like to use day light in the morning when I’m waking up, but warm white if I’m using my HappyLight in the afternoon. One thing to note is that you shouldn’t use a HappyLight before bed, or even about 6 hours prior to sleeping, because it may give to the energy to stay awake! So morning is the best time to use your HappyLight.
The Happy Light Touch is sleek and compact, so it doesn’t take up much space. It’s got a detachable stand so you can easily pack it up to travel or leave it in one stationary location. It’s even got a hanger so you can affix it to the wall if you’d like! I keep mine next to my workstation and use it in the morning when I’m working. I love its versatility and while we’re not in the thick of winter yet, I do feel it’s been helping me feel more alert in the mornings. I look forward to using it more this winter!
Verilux HappyLight Lucent LED
The HappyLight Lucent LED from Verilux may be the smallest HappyLight but it still packs a big punch! This light therapy lamp delivers a powerful 10,000 lux to provide a daily sunshine boost for increased energy, mood, focus, and sleep. It has just one on/off button on the top for ease of use. I think it could also be extremely beneficial to people in nursing homes who don’t get outside much, especially since it’s so simple to run.
The smallest HappyLight from Verilux, the Lucent LED can be positioned horizontally or vertically and can fit well in small places. It has a detachable stand and packs flat for travel. It’s the perfect option for people who are on the go or have multiple work spaces. I could also see it being a great option for college students who come back home for breaks.
Whether you prefer the versatility of the HappyLight Touch or the compact, travel-friendly HappyLight Lucent, both could be beneficial if you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder or if you just need a boost!

Hi there! I’m Amber, a 34 year old wife and mom of two from central Minnesota. I love to be outside with my family anywhere the weather is warm (which means I spend half the year freezing). We’re a homeschooling family that loves to travel as often as possible! When I have a spare free moment, I love to read, take photos, and scrapbook. I’m interested in anything that makes life more fun; I also love socializing and sharing about my favorite products!

I think my son would benefit from a product like this.

I need this! Especially now that daylight savings time has ended and it gets dark so early!!

I’m not afraid of the dark. However I do tend to be sad about losing the light. This will be very good for me.

The winter definitely affects my mood with the lessening of light and the cloudy days. I would like to try this lamp out.

My daughter lives in the north, where it gets very cold and cloudy. She could use some sunshine boost from this. I would love to win this HappyLight for her. Thanks for the chance.

This would be amazing for those of us dealing with long cold winters indoors.

I do all that I can to make my boyfriend happy, well, if I cant make him happy I will force him to be happy with this magical light! He grew up in sunny San Diego and since we moved to the cold tundra of the east coast he just hasn’t been the same. I’m willing to try anything for him and this looks like an excellent place to start, he’ll be the man I met again in no time. Thank you <3

My daughter lives in MN, too and already has her Verilux light going. My niece was asking about them and just got one herself. Looks like I’m the last one to jump on the bandwagon. These lights sound like they’re so helpful this time of year!

My favorite item is the HAPPYLIGHT TOUCH™ which I know is something I would use daily.
