Thank you to PBS for sending two DVDs for review in exchange for my honest opinion.
We try to limit the TV and screen time our daughter gets daily, but this winter the screen time limit definitely was stretched due to the frigid temperatures and the massive amounts of snow we had (plus a newborn baby in the house). Now that it’s spring I want her getting outside, get moving and get as much fresh air as possible. TV is going to be reserved for rest time and rainy days. When we do let our daughter play on the iPad (reserved to 10 minutes at a time as a reward) she plays the PBS Kids Games App and loves it. We also limit her screen time to PBS Kids shows when she is at home. I think over the winter she’s seen almost every Wild Kratts Episode they make! She LOVES the Wild Kratts and has for over a year now. I was happy to partner with PBS to get some new PBS Kids shows on DVD: The Berenstain Bears Adventures in Bear Country and 20 Incredible Tales.
PBS Kids – 20 Incredible Tales
This DVD is packed with approximately 300 minutes (yes FIVE hours) of your child’s favorite PBS shows. Thirteen series are included: Arthur, Caillou, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Dinosaur Train, Nature Cat, Odd Squad, Peg + Cat, Ready Jet Go!, Splash and Bubbles, Super Why!, Wild Kratts, WordGirl and WordWorld. We haven’t made it through all of the episodes that are included yet but my daughter loved the Wordworld, WordGirl and Super Why! episodes. All of these action-packed episodes will help your child learn along with the characters, I love that I can trust PBS Kids shows to be child-friendly and teach my daughter while she watches. She enjoys answering questions that are asked on Super Why! And recognizing letters in the animals & objects in WordWorld. There is truly something for everyone on this DVD.
The Berenstain Bears Adventures in Bear Country
This DVD includes six stories: The Big Red Kite, Too Much TV, The Perfect Fishing Spot, Car Trip, White Water Adventure and Go Up and Down. I love that these Berenstain Bear stories teach family values. My little girl loves the stories and that it’s a brother bear and sister bear, just like her and her brother. The run time of this DVD is approximately 75 minutes. Choose to show your little one(s) just one story at a time, or maybe all six on a rainy day.

My son loved Caillou when he was little and my daughter was a huge Wild Kratts fan! I sure miss those days.

I love The Berenstain Bears! They were my favorite books to read as a kid, and I love that they are still being made! I buy them for my kids now all of the time. I have never seen the cartoon though. I will definitely have to check it out! Thanks for sharing.

PBS has great shows that have been around for many years! We love watching them and showing them to the grandchild.
I only let my children watch things on Fridays after school is finished, but these look like some great shows to check out!
