Thank you to Insect Lore for sending a Butterfly Farm Kit in exchange for this feature post. A full review will follow in May of 2019.

Insect Lore is celebrating five decades of providing educational excitement and unforgettable experiences. Since 1969 Insect Lore has shipped over 50 million insect habitat kits to nature lovers across the country. New in 2019 Insect Lore is offering the Butterfly Farm. It features an ultra-clear butterfly viewing window and a tuck away panel that teaches the four stages of butterfly metamorphosis.

 Included in the Butterfly Farm:

~ Butterfly Farm Habitat

~ Cup of 5 live baby painted lady caterpillars and food or voucher to redeem later for 5 free baby caterpillars and free shipping

~ Chrysalis Station Log

~ Butterfly Feeding Dropper

~ 2 Sugar Packets to make butterfly nectar

~ Special flower-shaped butterfly feeder

~ Caterpillar Quick Guide

~ “Read Me” including helpful caterpillar-raising tips

As stated above, the Butterfly Farm includes either a cup of 5 live baby painted lady caterpillars or a voucher to redeem for five free baby caterpillars and free shipping. We got the Butterfly Farm with the voucher for the caterpillars so we can redeem it once the weather warms. Right now it wouldn’t be safe to release butterflies where we live, as it is too cold. But, I wanted to share the Butterfly Farm with you today in case you are from a warmer part of the United States and want to purchase the kit and begin growing your butterflies right away.

Insect Lore also offers other butterfly growing kits including the Butterfly Garden and The Butterfly Pavilion. You can also grow other insects with Insect Lore’s Ladybug Land (where you can grow your own ladybugs from larvae), Ant Mountain, or their Praying Mantis Gift Set (it comes with a praying mantis egg case containing 75-200 baby mantids!) Insect Lore also has a “Life Cycle Collection” and “Nature Collection” featuring Eric Carle’s Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Grouchy Ladybug. Insect Lore also offers new Life Cycle Figurines and much more.

This is such a great educational product. I have loved butterflies since a little girl and would have loved one of these!

This Butterfly farm kit does seem so interesting and educational. I was always fascinated with butterflies and would enjoy this myself.

Going to talk to my great niece and see if her 4 yr old son would like this. He loves animals and I know these are not animals but it might fall in to his love. I think this would be so much fun for him to watch them grow to releasing them
