Thank you to hand2mind for sending me these great products. As always, all opinions are my own.
As we’re nearing the end of our first year of homeschooling, I’m looking ahead to products we can use over the summer and through the next school year that continue to make learning fun. When I discovered hand2mind, a company whose mission is to inspire students and support teachers and parents, I knew they’d have some great resources for us. Our (almost) six year old excels at math but she’s not a huge fan of reading yet. She gets frustrated when she can’t figure out a word and then wants to give up. We’ve been working on sight words and I purchased a set of BOB BOOKS but when I heard that hand2mind offers a collaboration product between BOB BOOKS and VersaTiles, I knew it would be a great fit for her.
BOB BOOKS + VersaTiles Collaboration Products
This innovative collaboration offers the popular BOB BOOKS that we know and love, along with VersaTiles which offer a puzzle-like aspect to add to the excitement of learning to read. With three different versions including Sight Words, Beginning Readers, and Advancing Beginners, there’s something for each level of reading for ages 3-6.
Each set offers 12 BOB BOOKS along with a workbook and a VersaTiles case with tiles. Parents and teachers can explain the prompts to children and then allow them to work on each page. Then, children answer the questions using the provided tiles. When they’ve finished the page, they can close the case, flip it over, and self correct using the provided key at the bottom of the page.
Our daughter has been absolutely loving these book and tile combos. She has a firm grasp of letter sounds and is starting to put the letters together. The BOB BOOKS have simple stories and illustrations, but I think that that helps her concentrate on the words which is important.
We’ll be done with “school” for the summer at the end of May, but I know these are sets that we’ll be using throughout the summer as well because Harper doesn’t consider them ‘work’ like she does with most of her school work. These are a great option for kids learning to read and even those skilled at early reading! Don’t forget to check out the other products hand2mind carries for learning, including their STEM offerings!

Hi there! I’m Amber, a 34 year old wife and mom of two from central Minnesota. I love to be outside with my family anywhere the weather is warm (which means I spend half the year freezing). We’re a homeschooling family that loves to travel as often as possible! When I have a spare free moment, I love to read, take photos, and scrapbook. I’m interested in anything that makes life more fun; I also love socializing and sharing about my favorite products!

This looks like a wonderful resource to use with my preschooler!
