Thank you to NorthSole for providing me with products to facilitate my blog review. All opinions are 100% my own.

The other day my mom told me she wanted to find a good pair of shoe insoles. Her hope was that the insoles would help with her foot pain. I had just received four pair of NorthSole Insoles for review. I had originally gotten the NorthSole Insoles for my husband’s work boots. When we tried placed the insoles into his work boots he said it made them to tight. So, I gave the insoles to my mom and my step-father. The following are my mom’s thoughts.

I have 63-year-old feet and sometimes they feel their age. My arches aren’t what they used to be, I sometimes get foot pain when I go for walks (which is usually several times a day), I have a bunion on my right foot and three hammer toes on the left foot. Am I going to stop walking because of these “ailments”, not on your life.

My daughter asked me if we (my husband who is 64 joined me in this review) wanted to review theNorthSole Insoles. I jumped at the chance. She gave us four pairs of NorthSole Insoles; two pairs of Legacy and two pairs of LegacyThree.

Normally I wear my Nike shoes when we go for our walks because they have the best support for my feet…and my husband walks in his Memory Foam walking shoes. Today, I walked in my Haflingers. Not your typical walking shoe but I did it on purpose. In my Halfingers, I inserted the thickest set of NorthSole Insoles, called Legacy. My husband tried the thinner set of Insoles, LegacyThree, in his shoes.

I forgot to mention that before our walks, my husband prefers to take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory pill because he typically gets a backache about a mile into our walk. Today, just for giggles, he didn’t take the anti-inflammatory pill…and I did not wear socks! We seriously wanted to give the NorthSole Insoles a true test. (Oops, insoles are shown upside down.)

We just got back from a 1.5-mile walk and I couldn’t wait to write this review. My feet were NOT tired in the least even though the shoes I wore did not have a lot of support in them. The NorthSole Insoles provided all of the support my feet needed. I had no blisters, my arches didn’t ache, no red spots on the top of my hammer toes or on the side of my foot that has the bunion. Some insoles use up so much of the foot space that I had concerns a blister might appear in one of those problem areas especially since I chose to wear the thicker Legacy Insoles.

My husband said his back didn’t hurt at all, his feet weren’t tired, nor did his feet feel squished in his shoes.

I normally wear a women’s size 9 and my husband wears a men’s size 11. Neither of us had had to cut theNorthSole Insoles to fit into our shoes. Mine slide right in (perfect fit) as did my husband’s. It was as if they were made just for us. I’m assuming had we needed to trim them to fit in our shoes, the results would have been just as impressive but I thought it was important for you to know what size of shoe they fit without trimming.

Now that we are home from our afternoon walk, I removed the Legacy Insoles from my Haflingers and inserted the LegacyThrees. My feet feel just as comfortable and protected as they did with the thicker pair. The only difference I notice is that there is a smidge more room inside the shoe for my foot.

We are impressed with NorthSole’s Legacy and LegacyThree Insoles. We suggest you give them a try.

These sound like awesome insoles! My husband works on his feet all day and could definitely use these. Thank you so much for sharing!

    • Hi Lauryn!
John here from NorthSole. If your husband is on his feet all day then he should definitely try a pair. That’s exactly why I developed these- because I was on my feet all day. I think I’d recommend the Legacy insole for him. We offer free shipping in the US and you can grab a 15% off code on the site. Cheers!
