I received product from Altair Aerial to facilitate this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
Several years ago, drones became all the rage. And it’s not hard to see why. They can be SO much fun! If you get a good one, that is…. My husband and boys are crazy for drones now. They finally got their first taste of flying a drone about a year ago and their interest has only gained momentum since then. So when we got the chance to check out the Outlaw SE Drone from Altair Aerial, they were stoked.

Outlaw SE FPV Drone with 1080p HD Camera
One popular Altair Aerial Drone is the Outlaw SE. It has lots of great features and is fun to fly.
Unpacking the Outlaw SE was easy. After a quick look at the directions and then battery charge, we had it all ready to go.
Features Include:
- GPS Flight Mode – This allows for an easier flight and perfect stability for aerial photographers.
- 1080p High Definition Video – The first person view and high resolution photos with barometer altitude hold.
- Headless Mode, Altitude Hold and One-Touch Take-Off & Landing – You’ll be able to grow with your drone as you become more experienced.
- 3 Return-To-Home Functions
- Flies up to 600 meters range.
So now that we were all set, it was time to head outdoors and take flight. There are flashing lights on the bottom of the drone letting you know you’re ready to go too.
While it takes a little practice to get the hang of flying smoothly, the control for the Outlaw SE is user-friendly and easy to learn.
With just a few minutes of practice, our 12 year old was flying really well.
We actually need to get a new wi-fi as our box is old and gives us a lot of trouble. So while we couldn’t get it to hook up to my husband’s phone, we were able to connect to our iPad. The quality of the camera was really nice and, if you can look past the fingerprints on our iPad, I think you can see what I mean. (The brightness of the sun also made it hard for me to capture the quality well. I couldn’t get a shot without a glare.) But even with these issues, the photo quality is evident.
The more my boys and husband fly this Outlaw SE drone, the more they love it. From take-off to landing, it’s lots of fun! We’re still practicing and learning all the features but so far, it’s a great drone.

This looks like a super fun toy for the entire family. I love that it is easy to pilot and you don’t have to be a techie to successfully enjoy it.

This is something I would love to have. I would give it to my brother and his grandson to use together. My brother has about 40 acres and it would be fun to look down on it. He has all kind of wild life on his land, turkeys, deer’s, bobcat, and I don’t know what else.

my husband has been wanting a Drone. I like that this Altair Aerial drone is bigger and more solid looking that others that i have seen on the market. Also, this one has a camera, which is cool
My husband would love this! He does have a drone but it’s a cheaper one that doesn’t do much. He farms so it would be a great way to check on things.
