In exchange for this post, two of my children will be attending College Prep Science Labs courses. As always, all opinions are my own.
When we considered homeschooling over a decade ago, I didn’t know exactly how everything was going to work out. I was not homeschooled and neither was my husband. So this was new territory for us. However, it’s gone very well over the years and I am now homeschooling all five of our kids!
One thing I learned early on is that I don’t have to personally do and teach everything all by myself. There are so many resources available to come along side homeschoolers and help you have a successful experience. From local co-ops and homeschool sports teams to writing classes, spelling bees, and homeschool band. There is usually help and resources available if you look. And recently, I was excited to learn about College Prep Science Labs as doing the hands-on labs is one thing I’ve struggled with.
College Prep Science Labs – About Greg Landry & College Prep Science
Greg is a husband, homeschool dad, and a former college professor. He offers Christ-Centered live online classes as well as lab intensives. Geared for 6th-12th grade homeschool students, his in-person two day lab intensives are available throughout the mid and eastern parts of the United States.
I love that Greg has a heart for students and a passion for science… but even more specifically, he shares his passion for teaching students to see God’s hand in every aspect of His creation that surrounds us. His goal is to help them see that God’s creation didn’t just happen by chance – it wasn’t an accident or a fluke of nature.
Why College Prep Science Is Important
The thrust of “College Prep Science” is to give homeschooled students access to a high level science that is focused on scientific inquiry, critical thinking, process reasoning, data collection, and the graphical and written representation of research. Greg says, “we want to prepare competent, confident students for their remaining high school years, their college years, and life. The fact that our classes and labs are taught from a Christian / Creationist worldview does not mean they’re ‘watered down.’ Quite the contrary – they are very challenging.”
Complete One Year of Christ-Centered Science Labs in Two Days!
The great part about Greg’s Science Labs is that kids get to experience a full years worth of labs in just two days. They stay busy and engaged in learning throughout the entire time, without wasting precious hours. Students will get to spend two enjoyable, knowledge, and skill building days, in a caring, Christ-centered environment. And they come away excited and refreshed by all they’ve gotten to learn and experience in that time!
Lab Options
Greg offers two different lab options, both running for two days each. You can sign your child(ren) up for one or both. Choose from:
- Biology / Anatomy & Physiology
- Chemistry
Many parents choose to do both right away to get them done in an easy, fun filled way.
School Credit
Parents may issue school credit for these labs as they deem appropriate – each two day intensive is the equivalent of a full school year of labs. Students will spend two enjoyable, knowledge and skill building days in a caring, Christ-centered environment. Also, many parents have their students do both, Biology and Chemistry, to get them both done!
Note: Greg’s Homeschool Science Labs Classes DO tend to fill quickly and are available on a first-come, first served basis. So be sure you head over to his site to register your child today.
Both fall 2019 (only Indianapolis, IN and Franklin, TN left) and spring 2020 dates are listed on the website. (Spring 2020 locations listed below.) And you can contact Greg with any questions as he’s quick to respond and help you decide what options are best for your family.
And the new 2020 Fall and Spring 2021 schedule is NOW up and registration is OPEN!
So tell me, do you homeschool? What resources have you found to help you along your journey?
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.

That looks like a good way to help homeschooling parents get their kids good science learning.

This sounds like a great program to sign up for! I am really excited to see that there is one local to us. I homeschool my kids as well so I am always looking for local group classes like this. Thanks for sharing!

This is great for homeschoolers. I have wondered how you do everything on all subjects. You get help…. nice work finding them.

This looks wonderful and I can’t believe it only takes two days! I saw they are going to have this here in Columbia next year but I don’t know anyone that need their classes off hand. If I run across someone I will tell them!

My son just loves science, so this would be a great resource for us!
I really like these kits. The creativity and problem solving are great. I also would love for the kits to have fun with science and how amazing it is as a field of study.
