I received product from Mr IRONSTONE to facilitate this post.  As always, all opinions are my own.

If you’re like me, you probably know it can be hard to find nice furniture pieces that are also affordable.  Last winter and spring, we renovated almost our entire house.  On top of renovating a bedroom into a pantry, opening up our living room, and redoing our dining room, we also took out a wall to make an upstairs loft area.  This space used to be our foster care bedroom.  But since we closed our license, it was no longer needed.  So this new area has become a homeschool room/office space for the kids and me.  But the problem was, we needed more desks!  So I turned to Mr IRONSTONE.

When we renovated, we were able to repurpose our old built-in desks into free-standing options.  But even with those four desks, we will still short on work space.  All five of our kids are now school-age so they each need a work space and then I also need an area to do my blog work.  So when I saw Mr IRONSTONE L-Shaped Desk 59″ Corner Desk, I knew it was the answer we needed.

Assembly

This desk does require some assembly.  While you can purchase assembly from Amazon, I highly recommend doing it yourself.  It only took my husband and boys about half an hour from start to finish.

All pieces are well sorted and marked.  And, thankfully, there are a few extra pieces as we actually had to use one screw because we had a defective one.

Assembly was easy.  We just followed along with the directions and everything came together.  It was a great learning experience to incorporate our kids into too.

The Results-

This desk is exactly what our space needed.  I love how big it is, yet the open design keeps it from being cumbersome.

The white frame and light brown top offer a fresh look while the L-shape delivers plenty of space for working.

While this desk is fairly lightweight, the size does require two people to move it efficiently.  But I’m just loving how much space I have to work now!

Overall, I am in love with my new Mr IRONSTONE L-Shaped Desk 59″ Desk.  It’s the perfect addition to our loft office/school room space.  It allows me the workroom space I was craving while also providing some spare room for the kids to come over when they need help.  This desk would be a great addition to any office, personal or business space.  And one thing I want to note.  When my husband was assembling, he guessed that this desk must have cost a couple hundred dollars.  When I told him it was just $125, he was shocked because it feels so well made and appealing to the eye.

47” Pub Bar Height Table

This spring, we are planning an addition to our home.  This will hopefully include a game room.  With five growing kids, we need a space for them to have friends over and play.  A game room will offer that.  So when I saw the Mr IRONSTONE Pub Table, I knew it would be a great addition.

Assembly

Again, this piece was also very easy to assemble.  We began by unpacking and laying out all the pieces.

The instructions were easy to follow and very clear.  And with our little helpers, we had this table assembled and ready to go in under 20 minutes.

The Results-

The table is very nice.  I like how the legs feature twistable bottoms so if your floor is slightly uneven, you can adjust so you won’t have a table that rocks.

I like the white and gray ‘marble’ type design the top features.  I find it to look sophisticated and clean.  However, I want to point out that they also offer a couple other options, like a wood looking top, if that’s what you’d prefer.

I do want to point a couple things out.  The matching stools do NOT come with the table.  I couldn’t currently find the marble style stools available but they do offer some great looking black ones that would definitely match.  And the other thing I want to point out is that this is a bar height.  We don’t currently have any bar height stools so I used counter height in my photo and you can see it’s a bit short.  So I will be on the hunt for some cute black stools in the next couple months to match.  But overall, we love this table!
