Gone are the days of a paper brown bag lunch. No longer will kids have to worry about how to transport and separate their snack. Have you figured out what I’m talking about yet? Now’s the time for Bento Boxes! If you have kids and don’t have a bento box yet, you’ll definitely want to keep reading. They are great for all ages and kids (and parents!) love them!
What Is A Bento Box?
A bento box is a compact, reusable container that has been designed to hold a single serving size of a variety of sides and dishes. There’s usually a space for the ‘main dish’ and then options for storing the rest of the meal too. Typically, bento boxes are designed to keep each food item from leaking or moving into another area.
When Would You Use A Bento Box?
Honestly, any time. Bento Boxes work well for when you’re packing a school lunch as well as for snacks. My kids love that they are able to transport several food items in one container. Less bulk and definitely less mess. When we go on a day trip where we will be eating lunch out, I’ll fill the bento box with several snack ideas for the kids. But more often than not, we actually prefer to save money and pack our own food. And that’s when our Bento Boxes really perform.

I like the bento style of these boxes. Keeps the food separated and organized and keeps it from getting knocked around.

My grandkids use their Bento boxes for school lunches. They really work well for keeping their food fresh and letting them make choices on what to bring.

The girls have Bento boxes similar to these. As we stay home right now, they still pack their lunch like they were really going to school. They like the control over their lunch and the ability to pack their own.

I like these for organizing lunch and snacks. Now that everyone is home all the time. they want to know when is the next meal and what will it be. And what is for snack. They can pack their own Bento box and they will know.
