I received product to facilitate this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
A couple years ago when we started foster care, I learned something new. Smoke detectors expire!?! Perhaps that is common knowledge and I just missed the boat but it was news to me when our licensor told us this. In retrospect, it makes sense. A very important safety device that can save your life probably needs to be replaced from time to time, just like a child’s carseat. So we went through our entire home and updated all of our alarms and were all set…for awhile.
But now, we’re actually in the process of adding an addition to our home so that means we need to get more smoke alarms to ensure we’re fully protected again. We are adding two bedrooms, which will both need detectors as well as a family/game room that needs one too. So I turned to X-Sense for help.
Stay Safe: X-Sense Escape Light Smoke Alarm Detector
The X-Sense Escape Light Smoke Alarm Detector can be bought one at a time or in packs of three. But this smoke alarm detector has a lot of great features I love including:
- LED Escape Light: This light automatically activates when your alarm sounds and provides some light for an escape.
- 10 Year Battery: The built-in high-capacity 1,500 mAh lithium battery is good for 10 years so you won’t have to worry about changing batteries every year.
- Easy Installation: The included mounting bracket, screws, and anchor plugs makes it easy to install on any wall or ceiling.
- Auto Check Function: These alarms are constantly monitoring themselves and will alert to any faults or a weak battery.
- Accurate, Reliable, & Highly Sensitive: The built in advanced photoelectric sensor allows this detector to quickly sense dangerous smoke levels.
- UL Certified: The X-Sense Escape Light Smoke Alarm Detector is rigorously tested to meet the UL 217 Standard and come with a 60-day money-back guarantee and 5-year warranty.
I’m thrilled to have these great detectors on hand and can’t wait until our addition is finished so I can install all three!
Buy It: Head over to Amazon to learn more and grab a pack of X-Sense Escape Light Smoke Alarm Detectors for your home.
So tell me, have you checked your smoke detectors lately to make sure they are in working order and not expired?
I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
