An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. This old saying is very true in many instances. But today, we’re speaking directly about one topic in particular: Sun Safety. Summer is in full swing and the question I want to pose today is — Do you take sun protection seriously?

Dangers Of Sun
I asked above if you take sun protection seriously. But a key fact is that knowledge is power so I wanted to share more about the why behind this topic.
The sun radiates light to the earth, and part of that light consists of invisible UV rays. When these particular rays reach the skin, they cause tanning, burning, and other skin damage. The UVA rays cause skin aging and wrinkling which can also contribute to skin cancer, such as melanoma (the most dangerous and well-known form of skin cancer).

Modest AND Adorable!
Time is flying by and our youngest is almost 6 years old already. She’s a girly girl through and through so when I saw the Girl’s Short Sleeve Full Zip Rashguard and matching Girl’s Swim Skirt, I knew she’d love it.

Perfect For Teens Too!
Our son recently turned 13 and is thrilled to finally be considered a teenager. But just because he’s growing up doesn’t mean we slack on safety. I still want to make sure he’s protected when we’re outdoors enjoying the fresh air and sun. So I grabbed him the Men’s Coastal Board Shorts and Men’s Short Sleeve Sun & Swim Shirt.
Both of these pieces are from the men’s lineup. While he can still fit in the biggest size in most kids’ departments, a men’s size small also works well for him. The board shorts are a nice longer length which he loves and the shirt is perfect for when we head to the lake. Overall, a really get set!
