We live in Oregon and although our weather usually isn’t extremely hot or cold, we do have situations where the warm weather uncovers a leak or two or a fast freeze causes cracks, etc. When this happens, our “go-to” product is Flex Seal. They have every product you can think of from sprays to liquids, to glue, to tape…and in a wide variety of colors. No longer are your choices limited to clear, black or white.
The line of products that we have is called the Thaw Out Kit. This kit includes two cans of Flex Seal Spray, the Flex Seal Liquid, Flex Tape, Flex Glue, and Flex Shot.
The Flex Seal Spray is perfect for areas that are slightly out of your reach such as gutters and can even be used on wood.
Flex Seal Liquid can be used in areas where brushing it on is an option such as roofs, floors, and/or walls.
The Flex Tape is perfect for covering up holes to prevent moisture damage or for use around windows or doors.
Flex Glue is great if something has come loose and needs to be glued back into place.
Flex Shot can be used without a caulking gun and is great around windows/doors, pipes, etc.
I love the fact that other than a brush, no special tools are required to use these products. They are easy to store, easy to use, and they work.
Most recently, we used Flex Glue to make a firepit surround out of reclaimed bricks dating back to the early 1900s. I wanted the surround to have some flexibility (I tend to change my mind on decor often!) but also have structure. The Flex Glue was perfect for holding my stacked bricks in place.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast.
