Updating and upgrading aspects of the home is a joy as a homeowner. I love seeing my projects come to completion and my dreams become reality. Last year, we renovated our old farmhouse and I loved the results. Everything turned out beautifully. But one thing still wasn’t working for us. We were out of space. So this year, we added on. And along with the addition, I finally got my master suite!
Master Suite – A Sweet Life
As I was planning for my master suite bathroom, I seriously drew up at least 15 different floor plans. I had a list of wants and must haves and it took a lot of rearranging and reconfiguring to make things work out. First off, my biggest request was a toilet in it’s own little ‘room’. Anyone with kids knows that privacy is basically non-existent. So I was super excited about the possibility of having a toilet set off by itself.
Next up, I wanted a ‘soaking tub’. I was torn between a clawfoot bathtub and the more trendy skirted tubs. In the end, my husband decided the cast iron clawfoot was the way to go.
Of course, no bathroom would be complete without a nice vanity. My wish list there included some storage, a vessel sink, and a pretty mirror with lights above.
Finally, I wanted a nice shower. Being able to enjoy a hot shower each morning is one of the things I look forward to. While we decided to forgo a tile shower because of the cost, one thing I didn’t want to give up was a nice shower head system. And I found the perfect option with Suncleanse!

Throughout the years, we’ve alternated from shower heads to handheld shower handles. But when we stayed ad the Radisson Blu MOA, I got my first taste of a rainfall shower head. I immediately fell in love and told my husband that if I ever get my own bathroom, that’s what I wanted. Well, the time came! While I can’t speak on the installation part since we had it professionally installed during construction, it didn’t take our plumber long at all to get everything going, you can always check Garland TX Plumbers if you are within Texas area. Operation is easy. Just lift the handle up/out to turn on, push back down to turn off. I LOVE the fact that the temperature control stays exactly where I like it as that operates by twisting to the side. So turning on and off doesn’t adjust my heat! And switching between the rainfall and handset is as simple as twisting the button above the handle.
Overall, I have only good things to say about this shower system. The water pressure is great in both the rainfall overhead as well as handheld modes. I love the benefit of getting two devices in one with this set. Switching over to the handheld shower works well when my youngest uses the shower and I have to help her get out all the shampoo.

I love the black and the shower head would be so nice to just stand under. BUT I have to ask are you guys really tall? You don’t look it in the pictures. How to you reach the handheld
I’m 5’1. So definitely NOT tall. The shower stall itself is raised a couple inches so I step into it. While I do have to stretch up to reach the handheld sprayer, I can still grab it without much trouble. 🙂
