Thanks to JINS for sending me this eyewear. As always, all opinions are my own.
I just recently had my yearly eye exam and found out my prescription had changed slightly again. I used to purchase glasses and contacts from my eye clinic, but last year I learned that there are much more affordable options out there that offer the same quality (or better!) lenses and frames. This time I turned to JINS, a Japanese eyewear brand that has some of the cutest lenses I’ve seen yet!
JINS Eyewear Review
Picking out frames from JINS was a little time-consuming, but only because they have so many incredible eyeglass options! I had a hard time narrowing down my options, but I ended up choosing the LCF-17A-U061 Frames in Brilliant Pearl (they’re also available in Komodo Pink). It was simple to narrow down frame options by design, and since cat-eye is my favorite style I stuck with that category.
All JINS single-vision glasses offer the following features:
- Thin lenses
- Anti-Glare
- UV-Cut
- Less Distortion
Each pair of glasses has specs to let you know things like frame type, nose bridge, material, and more so you can get exactly what you’re looking for even if you can’t try them on in person. JINS even offers a virtual try-on that gives you an idea of how the eyeglasses will look on your face.
On top of regular frames and lenses, JINS also offers blue-light blocking which is so important if you use your phone or look at a screen for a large portion of your day. Blue light has been shown to affect our circadian rhythm, increase eye strain, and can damage the retina over time. Blue light blocking lenses help reduce these issues without sacrificing style or lens quality.
JINS offers three levels of blue-light blocking depending on your needs.
For a limited time, you can add JINS Screen blue-blocking for no additional cost! If you just use your phone periodically throughout the day like I do, this is going to be a great option. You can see the slight tint in the lenses but it’s not noticeable when you’re wearing them!
Once I’d picked out my frames from JINS, I simply had to upload a photo of my prescription to order my glasses! If you want non-prescription glasses or sunglasses, those are options too. I don’t wear my glasses very often (in general I’m a contacts-wearer) but every time I wear my pair from JINS I get compliments on them! Check out their site to find your favorite pair and let me know your favorite style of eyeglasses in the comments!

My daughter just requested blue light blocking glasses for her virtual learning. This article is very timely for me!

I am pleased that there are now less expensive options out there for eyewear. It can be so costly.

Starring at a screen all day, these would be super helpful

These would be great! I wear contacts and by the end of the day my eyes are really tired from staring at a computer screen.
Those are so cute. I like the blue light blocking. I need that on my glasses.
