What’s New With Shred Dog?
This year, the Shred Dog team has released some new collections that I think you will love. Plus, they’ve upgraded some of their well-loved features to be EVEN better and released some great new colors!
Highlights Include:
The new Shred Dog Shells and Pants are now 20k/20k waterproof/breathability rated. Last year, they were designed at 15k/15k, which already exceeded almost all kids’ gear but they have upped it even more! Your kids will definitely be protected.
Plus, you’ll still love the fully seam-taped design, just like last year, so max waterproofness is still there as nobody likes having to walk around sopping wet. Did you know that this feature even helps add to the breathability of the fabric too?
The underarm and thigh vents are especially helpful for spring skiing or other warmer weather, high exertion activities to help keep kids from overheating when all geared up.
The Shred Dog team has made all exposed zippers to be YKK waterproof zippers so they will function at their best, always. Because we all know that nobody has time to deal with dysfunctional zippers!
You will also find they have also improved the bib/pant with a better waistband adjustment and also the full back of the bib module is now stretchy for better mobility. Because let’s be honest, whether the kids are throwing big tricks, bending over to put on snowboard bindings, or just playing in the snow; maximum flexibility is always a plus.
The insulator/puffy jacket is very similar to last year as you will notice it features the same 3M Thinsulate insulation for the warmth you love, without the bulk. Plus, it’s body-mapped for more warmth in the core and less in the arms, further reducing any bulkiness, but this year has an even more durable face fabric. These insulators are designed to be a 3-season or year-round “essential” for kids while also providing the option to zip into the hardshell for the integrated cold weather, snow jacket.
Of course, you will still find that Shred Dog pieces feature their amazing Adjust-a-Fit system which allows you to lengthen and shorten the sleeves/legs so this gear can grow with your kids.
Our Final Thoughts
This year, I grabbed some Shred Dog Gear pieces for two of the kiddos. We went with the fun new Fire Orange and Galaxy Purple colors with the Elevated Kids Hardshell and insulator and the Shadow Grey color for their bib/snow pants. Adding these fun new colors to the amazing features has truly made this gear the best! We’ve had snow a couple times and (thankfully) have seen it melt again. But now that the temps have been down in the 30s and below, the next snowfall will be here to stay. I’m thankful we have the gear needed to keep the kids protected so they can still enjoy the great outdoors! I am always so impressed with the quality of every piece of Shred Dog Gear that we’ve owned and I think you will be too!

Elevated Kids Snow Bib/pant in deep glacier is my favorite. With my 4 year just getting out of toddler size and into kids sizes this year and starting over with a newborn; a great quality snowbib/pant that can hold up for years of use for both my kiddos is exactly what I need.
My daughter definitely needs new bibs. I like the gray or the purple. I also like the elevated hardshell coat in purple or black. I like that these come in a size 16 bc its not easy finding that size in items for a younger child. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
