A few years ago, we discovered paddle boarding. We hadn’t heard of them before our friends purchased one. While visiting them, we tried paddle boarding and had a lot of fun. It was something our daughters enjoyed, it was good exercise and it was an outdoor activity we could do as a family.
This spring I began thinking about getting our own paddle boards. After some research, I decided that an inflatable paddle board sounded like the best option for us. I chose the 11’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Set from Swonder Direct. I went with this set because it was all-inclusive and versatile. It would work well for our wants and needs. We could leisurely paddle around on it, fish from it, and could even exercise on it. When it was time to put it away for the season, we could easily fold it up and store it in the included carrying case.
The 11’6 Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Set Includes:
1 x Inflatable stand up paddleboard
1 x 3 pieces aluminum alloy paddle
1 x GRI high-pressure hand pump
1 x GRI removable fin (no tool required)
1 x Travel backpack
1 x 10’ coil leash
1 x repair kit (bonus)
Upon opening the package from Swonder, I was impressed with the quality of craftsmanship. It was immediately obvious that the paddle board, carrying case, and all the other items were well made. I was also pleased with the colors and print design. I know this doesn’t affect how a paddle board works, but I wanted something attractive and that is what I got. I love the combination of gray, teal, and orange.
I will admit, that when I first started researching inflatable paddle boards, I was concerned that an inflatable paddle board would mean that the material was thin and could potentially rip or pop. That is no longer a concern of mine now that we have our Swonder Inflatable Paddle Board. They use a military-grade PVC with a drop-stitch system. This ensures durability and long life.
We are just getting home from our maiden voyage. We took our Swonder Inflatable Paddle Board with us camping last week. We went to a campground that my family has been visiting for decades. They have beautiful grounds and a lake for everyone to enjoy.
When we went down to the lake, we removed everything from the convenient carrying case. We found the assembly to be fairly simple with the included instruction booklet and parts. Start to finish, we were ready in about ten minutes. When the paddle board is fully inflated, it’s six inches thick and 32-inches wide. It has a weight limit of 300 pounds.
My oldest daughter (14 years old), was the first to take the paddle board out on the water. She paddled around for quite a while and had a lot of fun. Then my youngest daughter (12 years old) took it out. She too had a good time exploring the lake from the paddle board. Finally, my husband and I got to take it out. We decided to go together. We both sat on the board, him in front paddling. Even with two of us on the paddle board, and motorboats cruising around the lake, the ride was stable and relaxing.
We had a wonderful time getting away, spending time with family, and playing on our new paddle board. I am so happy we got it! I would love to get three more so we can each have one. Maybe that will be on this year’s Christmas list?!
If you are considering a paddle board, I strongly suggest you look into Swonder Direct. They have this 11’6 set, 10′ sets, as well as towable toys, and accessories.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

This looks like so much fun! I love that it is inflatable so it’s very easy to bring along and store! I have never been on a paddle board before, I probably wouldn’t do very well but it would be so fun to try. My kids would definitely love it too.

sharing this with my niece she has been talking about wanting one. the only problem was they usually take the buggy and it would be hard to fit safely on the buggy. this would be perfect!!

My mom and two sisters did this in a state I forget the name maybe it was down near the Poconos I believe. They said it was fun. I think if your fit you can do this, but for me I feel like I would have some troubles haha.
