I was sent a product sample for this Dreame 1010 cordless stick vacuum review. There are affiliate links in this post. All opinions are my own.

Ryan and I have been slow to upgrade to more modern styles of vacuums. We had stuck with the traditional upright vacuum style until very recently. As regular readers are well-aware, we moved about three months ago. We’re now renting a really small house, it’s just under 400 square feet. It has two rooms that are carpeted, and two that are laminate. We don’t have pets anymore (one passed away 14 months ago, the other 11 months ago) and so we don’t have to vacuum up dog hair constantly like we used to. 

In the past, I had always worried that a stick vacuum wouldn’t be enough for our needs. Now that we don’t have pets and have such a small space, it seemed like it might be a nice fit! 

Dreame t10 cordless stick vacuum review

The Dreame T10 cordless stick vacuum is said to have a retail price of $359.99, but it’s currently listed for $299.99 on Amazon, and ther is a $50 off coupon available, bringing the total down to about $250. This isn’t the cheapest cordless sick vacuum out there, but it has plenty of awesome features that explain its price, and that make it a good value in my opinion. 

It has a 60-minute runtime in its lowest mode which is called eco mode. When comparing other cordless vacuums, many of them had lower run times. While it only comes with one battery, it does have a swappable battery feature so if you purchase a second battery, you can charge one while using the other. 

The dust cup is .6L in size which is bigger than some other cordless stick vacuums that we’ve seen. This is nice because it lets us go longer between having to empty it out. 

The roller is specifically designed to reduce tangles. It has a V-shaped design that allows hair to channel through neatly rather than tangle. The roller is also designed to maintain consistent suction so you can move from one type of flooring to the next and keep suction. 

It has a button that allows you to ‘lock’ the vacuum in the ‘on’ position, so you don’t have to keep the trigger pressed down to keep the machine running. 

The filtration system is multi-layered, to help the dust stay in the dust cup and not escape into other parts of the vacuum. It’s said to have eight layers of noise reduction. While it certainly makes noise, it is quieter than other vacuums we’ve owned. In our little house, the noise difference doesn’t matter much. However, if you lived in an apartment, duplex or a larger home the reduced noise may make it possible to use this vacuum without waking or disturbing others. 

The main portion of the vacuum can also be removed from the stick to be used in handheld mode. This is nice because it makes it easy to use this to clean our car, furniture and more. It also can be used with a hose to clean blinds, get cobwebs from the ceilings and so on.

It comes with a stretchy (accordion style?) extender, a long angled hose, a small roller, and a brush head over an angled hose. We’ve really only used the stiff hose (great or getting in furniture cushion cracks!) and the brush head (we’ve used this on keyboards). However, we really like both. I think the roller style could come in handy for people who have carpeted stairs. 

I like how this works well in our kitchen and bathroom as well. It is small enough that it can get under the edges of our kitchen cupboards where crumbs tend to gather. It’s largely replaced our old vacuum and our broom! We do keep a broom for some jobs, but we definitely are using it less these days because the Dream T10 can handle many jobs that we used to use a broom for. 

To test how effective this vacuum was, we used a different vacuum and vacuumed our floor. Then we used this vacuum – it pulled up black fur. Remember – we don’t have a dog, and we had been living here over two months at this point – so we had vacuumed many times. The fact that this vacuum was able to pull up fur from a previous tenant’s pet was gross to think that had been stuck down in the carpet the whole time…but it really sold us on how well this vacuum works! 

I also like how this vacuum comes with an organizing stand that you can drill into your wall to help hold the vacuum and its attachments. I’m not great at coming up with my own organizational systems, so I love when products come with everything you need to keep the set organized. 

I think the Dream T10 would make a nice gift for those who like to clean, OR those who don’t like to clean! The Dream T10 is easy to use so it can make cleaning more fun for those who already enjoy it, or make the job a bit less burdensome who those who dislike it.
