I was sent a meat and cheese gift set for this Gourmet Gift Baskets review. All opinions are my own.
I think food gifts are a wonderful go-to! Everyone has to eat, and almost everyone loves to eat tasty food. Getting a gift basket from a nice company like GourmetGiftBaskets.com can make an event feel a bit fancier, even if you’re staying home.
Back in late October we were sent an ‘artisan cheese ad meats gift platter’ from GourmetGiftBaskets. It arrived on time for Ryan and me to celebrate our anniversary. With the pandemic, we’re still staying home more than we used to. Getting a nice meat and cheese set sent to our home made for a fun way for us to have a little indoor picnic date for our anniversary.
These came with a summer sausage and uncured Finocchiona for the ‘meats’, and cheddar cheese, smoked gouda and garlic cheese for the cheeses. It also included two types of crackers, two bruschettas, a mustard, a jelly and a bamboo platter. The set also came with a card that gave you tips and ideas for how to turn the set into a small charcuterie board display.
The condiments were a bit “fancy” for our tastes, but we loved the meats, cheeses and crackers which was more than enough for the two of us to have a nice picnic. We even had a lot of leftovers. It made for a fun way to have a date while staying home.
I think this basket, or really any other basket from GourmetGiftBaskets, could make a nice holiday gift. If you have a loved one who doesn’t live nearby who you won’t be seeing for the holidays, you can have a basket shipped directly to them. While I think food gift baskets work for a wide range of people, they can be an especially good fit for older people or sick people who may not be able to engage with may hobbies or be active.
Buy it: This exact gift basket isn’t available anymore, but this gourmet meat & cheese sampler includes the same cheeses and many of the other same ingredients that were in our basket.
Win it: One of my readers will receive the Gourmet Meat & Cheese Sampler from gourmet gift baskets! This giveaway is open to the US and will end 11:59pm est on 11/24/2021.

I think these are amazing gift baskets. It would be wonderful to send as a gift, but even better to receive it 🙂
