Back in September I shared a review of the Wantdo Women’s 3-in-1 waterproof ski jacket. In that post, I shared how I had tried wearing it on chilly early-fall days here in Michigan, and it was too warm! I knew as a result of that, that it would be really warm once winter hit. I’ve found that it really is an extremely warm coat, so even on 30 degree days, it’s possible to get overheated in this coat if I wear it outside but then keep it on while in the grocery store, for example. However, on the really bitter cold days, it definitely keeps me really warm while outside, which is awesome. As a result, it hasn’t become a go-to winter coat for me (as I often go outside and then inside without wanting to take my coat off, like at the grocery store or running other errands). However, it’s a great coat to have on hand for days where I’ll be doing work outside, playing in the snow or otherwise staying outside in really cold weather for long periods. I also found that this brand is a little bit generously sized. 

I was excited to have the chance to work with WantDo again this winter. This time, I thought I’d go with more casual options. I was sent the Wantdo Women’s Knit Sweater Zip Hoodie. This is a slightly unique top, as it feels like sweater material, and is fairly thick, I’d say it’s medium to heavyweight for a sweater. Yet instead of being a pullover, it’s got a zipper! So it’s sort of combines a sweater with a zip-up hoodie. I requested this in a size small, where I’d usually order a medium just to be safe (I’m often between those two sizes), and the size small fits well. So I think you can probably size down if you’re between sizes. 

I love how this hoodie-sweater is really soft, yet thick and warm. It has pockets that are generously sized so they’re easy to burry your hands into for added warmth, and it has a functional hood to keep your head, neck and ears warmer, too. I requested the color pink, and it comes in a lot of other colors. I’d love to get it in some other colors. I find myself grabbing for this hoodie regularly. Each time I’m hanging around the house and get a bit chilly, I toss this on over whatever shirt I’m wearing. 

The second item I was sent is the WantDo women’s outdoor front-zip windproof softshell jacket. For some reason this is listed in the ‘fleece’ section on the WantDo website, it is not a fleece jacket. This jacket is thin and lightweight, making it a really awesome jacket for early fall or spring here in Michigan. I like how it has a little bit of stretch to it, so it can fit over bulky hoodies or other clothing. Like the other items I’ve tried from WantDo, I find it to be a little generously sized. I got this in a small and it fits well, and even has space for me to wear multiple layers under it. It has velcro on the wrists, so you can adjust the sleeves to perfectly fit your arms and keep wind out. It has an elastic adjustment at the bottom of the jacket as well, so you can pull it snug to keep you a bit warmer, too. It is really effective at keeping the chill of the wind off you on windy days. I’ve had a couple of people compliment this jacket when I’ve been wearing it! 

I’ve found that I enjoy wearing these two WantDo products together! I wear the zip-up hoodie first, and then the windproof shell, and together they keep me warm enough for somewhat warmer (30’s or 40’s) winter weather. 

I have been really pleased with the quality of all three items that I’ve owned from WantDo. They are very well made, and I like how they look and feel to wear, too. I’ll definitely be open to buying more from WantDo in the future.
