I was sent jewelry from Delicora for review. All opinions are my own.
Recently I’ve really gotten into bracelets! I wore bracelets a lot as a teenager, but hadn’t really found any that I wanted to wear regularly the last decade or so. I tend to find bangle bracelets uncomfortable, and bracelets held together with elastic can pinch and they also seem to break easily. I had mostly just decided I wasn’t a bracelet person anymore.
Then I noticed that dainty bracelets with clasps have got trendy. I got one around Christmas, and have worn it regularly ever since – and I wanted more! So I was excited to find Delicora, they offer a lot of delicate jewelry that is totally my style. I’m not one who likes to wear bold statement jewelry. I like dainty jewelry, usually in just plain gold or silver, and in styles that I can wear all the time. Delicora has a wide range of jewelry, so if that isn’t your style, still check them out! But personally, I was eager to try two of their gold bracelets.
I was sent the Malibu bracelet and the Neptune bracelet.
“Paper clip chain” jewelry is so trendy, and I’ve wanted a bracelet like this for a while. Delicora’s is a 14k gold filled bracelet which I was excited about because I knew it wouldn’t irritate my skin and it would hold up well. It’s available in small (6 inches), medium (6.5 inches) and large (7 inches). I have a 6-inch wrist, but I like bracelets fairly tight so I ordered a medium. In the Malibu bracelet, I wish I would have sized up. I can get this bracelet on, but it’s not comfortable and digs in. I didn’t think to factor in how the texture of the bracelet, and the way that the chains loop together at different angles rather than laying perfectly flat, takes up some of the length of the bracelet. I love how this bracelet looks, I’d just recommend sizing up!
I also got the Neptune bracelet in a medium, and it seems much larger than the Malibu, almost like they are different sizes! I think this is because the Neptune bracelet is very dainty, so it can really easily lay snug against your skin. Rather than a hook closure, it has a magnetic closure. I was a bit surprised that this bracelet is actually two small chains. I thought it looked that way on the photo, but I thought it was a shadow that I was seeing in the photo. It’s not. It’s got two super tiny chains on it. One is a plain circle chain. The other is a pattern of a few circle pieces, and then a longer, more oval link that sort of reminds me of a coffee bean in shape. This one fits pretty well (I could have probably sized down) so I’ve worn it more and really like it. It catches light really well for being so dainty. I love how it’s easy to just keep on, and how it is understated.
If you’re considering these for gift-giving, they come in a cute pink box, and inside is a little pouch that contains the jewelry. I thought this would be nice presentation for a gift!
