WiMiUS sent me a projector for this blog post. All opinions are my own.
Most of the kids in my family are growing up on me! I Don’t have very many nieces or nephews who are ‘little’ anymore. Later this week, one of my nephews is turning 12. As kids get older, I have a harder time buying them birthday and Christmas presents. When they’re little enough to enjoy toys, it’s just so much easier.
I was trying to come up with something more thoughtful to give my nephew than a gift card, when WiMiUS reached out about their projectors. I knew this would be a great gift for a preteen!
Whether the preteen in your life enjoys streaming tv shows, movies, playing video games or scrolling TikTok, a projector can make the experience more fun. Who doesn’t want to project their screen onto the wall instead?
You can adjust the projection from 50 to 500 inches depending on how you set it up. Basically, from a good TV size to HUGE!
A common complaint about projectors is they will project a light image. This projector is “k8” – which I’m not very familiar with, but it’s known for providing a much brighter image, making for a smoother viewing experience.
There are speakers built into the projector, or if you have Bluetooth capable speakers you can connect to those using the Bluetooth function on the projector, to broadcast louder sound.
You can connect to this projector using a PC, USB drive, DVD player, TV, chromecast, PS5 and more.
My nephew likes watching Netflix ad Disney Plus, and he’ll be able to use this in his room to stream his favorite shows and movies. He also likes playing Fortnite, and he ca use this to project his game if he’d rather play that way vs on the TV screen. I think he’ll find it fun to have a “big screen” of his own.
I also think projectors can be a fun way to make movie night or sleepovers more fun, almost like bringing a movie theater home.
Buy it: You can purchase this WiMiUS projector on Amazon.com or the WiMiUS website

This projector would be great when conducting mediations. It would allow me, as the mediator, to work remotely with more ease. Since I am DHOH, I rely on visual cues with greater emphasis. Blowing the images up would allow me to better “read the room” when a party is silent, quiet or mumbling.

This would be so amazing! We do movie nights with 3 other families and it gets a bit crowded in the house. To have us all outside would not only give us more room but we wouldn’t have to pause the movie to do s’mores! Great give away and congratulations to who wins!!
