Grassroots harvest delta 8

Grassroots Harvest sent me products for review. All opinions are my own.

Grassroots Harvest is a CBD company based out of Texas that believes in keeping their products as simple and natural as possible. I was sent some of their delta 8 and THC-O cartridges to check out recently.

Delta-8 is a federally legal THC-containing product as they are derived from hemp. Many companies who sell delta-8 products will name their products or flavors but won’t share what type of strain they’re for. I like how the Grassroots harvest website shares this information even on their delta-8 products.

I was sent three delta-8 cartridges. These fit a really common type of vape pen battery. “Jack Herrer” is a strain for boosting creativity and providing a mild euphoria. “Blue dream” has a cerebral effect and provides a body high so you can physically relax while your mind has fun. “Strawberry cough” is designed uplift you while also helping you to relax – so together they can have you feeling zen.

I was also sent one THC-O cartridge. THC-O is also federally legal, though different from delta-8. It’s also derived from hemp but has some synthetic ingredients added. According to a page on the Grassroots Harvest website, THC-O has been shown in studies to be 2-3 times as powerful as delta-9 THC so THC-O products are ones that should be used slowly to feel out your tolerance and the impact it will have on you. I was sent the Strawberry Jack version of THC-O and is a combo of jack herrer and strawberry cough. It’s said to provide focus, calm, increase in appetite and creativity.

One area for improvement that I thought of, was the visible design of the cartridges themselves. Once you take these out of the packages, they are all identical. The packaging is different colors, but the products themselves are identical. So if you’ve purchased multiple cartridges from GRH and toss out the packaging, you may lose track of which cartridge is which. I’d love to see them add the strain name to the cartridges, or some sort of decal symbol, or use different colored tips for different varieties or something. Basically anything to make them so they aren’t all identical and therefore hard to keep track of.

To avoid confusing the strains, I’ve just opened and used one so far. I tried the Strawberry Cough. I found that it does have a noticeable strawberry-like flavor. From other vapes I’ve tried, I’d say this is pretty middle-of-the-road as far as how strong the general “Delta 8” flavor is compared to the flavoring itself. I’ve tried ones that are tastier and smoother, but I’ve also tried ones that are a lot more “herbal” tasting and less smooth to consume. I felt like the described affects of this strain were spot on for me. It doesn’t make me want to fall asleep, doesn’t leave me jittery – it just helps me take the edge of a bit, let’s me feel good and perhaps get a bit creative.

If you enjoy delta-8 or THC-O but aren’t into vaping, check out the Grassroots Harvest Delta-8 landing page. GRH also offers delta-8 gummies, oils, flowers, prerolls and more. They also offer non-THC CBD products, and delta-8 products.
