Outdoor Fun With GoSports - Croquet + Light Up Cones

This ‘Outdoor Fun With GoSports – Croquet + Light Up Cones’ post is sponsored by GoSports.  As always, all opinions are my own.

Living in Minnesota, we have to take advantage of the warm weather while we have it.  Because all too soon, it gets COLD, snowy, and sometimes it’s just plain miserable out.  While I know half the country lives where it’s fairly decent all year long, we have to use our summers wisely.  So when it’s nice out, I prefer the kids put away all the screens and head outdoors for play.

Earlier this year, my kids were introduced to croquet for the first time.  So when I saw the GoSports Croquet Set that came complete with a gorgeous wooden stand, I just had to have it.

This set is so pretty.  Assembly of the stand took a little bit but wasn’t overly hard.  In less than 30 minutes, we were ready to play.  Also, once the stand is together, all the pieces have a spot.  This is especially nice so I don’t have to worry about balls rolling away or anything getting lost in the garage.

The wooden mallets stand 35″ tall and have worked well for us with both kids and adults using.  They are lightweight enough that the younger kids can successfully swing and sturdy enough for adults to get a good hit.  The croquet balls weigh 10 ounces each with a diameter of 3 inches.

Overall, this is a great set!  I’d love to see some wheels on the stand for portability but it’s lightweight enough that we’ve managed just fine without.

My kids really love playing outdoor games a night.  We’ve joined a local homeschool teen night that meets once a month and it’s always in the evenings from 6-10pm.  So they are always outside in the dark playing all the classics: ghosts in the graveyard, nukem, capture the flag, hide and go seek, and more.  I’m super excited to have these cones for the next time we host as they will be perfect for marking boundaries with some of the games.

This set includes:

  • 6 modern light up cones (batteries included) that can cycle between red, green, blue and white LED colors

Just press the button at the top of each cone to easily cycle between red, blue, green, and white LED colors.  These are perfect for any occasion or party and definitely improve nighttime visibility

These cones would also make a great gift for keeping in the vehicle in case of emergencies.

What an awesome croquet set! I love the bright colors; they definitely make it a lot easier to see! I haven’t played since I was a kid, but it would be a lot of fun to get a set to play with my kids now.

I remember playing croquet as kid at a neighbor’s house a lot. It’s a fun game that all ages can play. I always liked how colorful the croquet sets were. The light up cones above are a great idea, especially for the car.
