I’ve tried a variety of Sweet Zzz products including their sheets, pillows and mattress protector. While they offer a variety of bedding items, their main product is the bed itself! Yes, they sell a mattress.
The mattress is called the Sweet Zzz Honey Hybrid Mattress.
We’re supposed to spend 1/3 of our day sleeping. That’s a lot of time with your faces close to our mattresses. I think it’s logical to be mindful of what’s in your mattress given how much time you spend on it. Some have particular concerns about fire retardants. Sweet Zzz doesn’t use those! Instead, they use Organic New Zealand Calmera® Wool to make their mattresses safe. The bed is Oeko Tex certified as safe for babies and sensitive skin.
The mattress includes GOTS certified cotton, GOTS certified wool, and GOLS certified organic latex. The mattress is made in the USA. The Sweet Zzz brand is Carbon Neutral certified so you can feel good knowing the production of your mattress didn’t cause harm. The cushiony part of the mattress is made up of organic cotton, wool and latex that provide a plush and luxurious feel without compromising on temperature. This mattress isn’t one that will leave you feeling hot, as all 3 of these are breathable materials. It is 13 inches thick, and available in sizes twin, twin XL, full, queen, king and California king.
The Honey Hybrid uses dual coils. There are micro coils on top, and these provide pressure relief which is nice for anyone, but is especially nice for side sleepers. The other coils are wrapped coils at the bottom, and those provide firm support and assist with spinal alignment. A queen-sized mattress has 1584 individually wrapped coils which is awesome for couples, as each person will get supported individually and motion won’t transfer.
If you were to visualize a mattress softness vs firmness scale, the Sweet zzz Honey Hybrid Mattress lands around the center of that scale. The dual coil system allows this mattress to offer pressure point relief and comfort, as well as solid support and strong mattress edges at the same time. This makes it “the best of both worlds” for many people and makes it a great middle-ground option for couples who have different mattress preferences.
The mattress was designed to allow for airflow, which helps keep the mattress from getting too warm. Plus, the natural organic materials provide a comfortable temperature for sleeping.
The Sweet Zzz mattress was LGA and earned certification. This test puts approximately 330 pounds of weight on the mattress and strokes it 60,000 times. This test is designed to simulate domestic usage of a mattress. If a mattress passes this test without showing harm, it earns LGA certification – which the Honey Hybrid earned!

For me – it’s the wool. I’ve realized this year how much I love wool for how breathable it is. I like wearing wool because it helps regulate my temperature and keeps me comfortable, so I can see it being a great mattress material as well.

I would be hesitant about buying a mattress online but having such a generous return policy and all of the positive reviews would make me be much more willing to give it a try.
