This ‘Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon Review’ is sponsored by Graco. As always, all opinions are my own.
If you have kids, you’ve probably noticed the switch from strollers to stroller wagons as they have really grown in popularity over the last year or so. If you haven’t, let me start by saying that these aren’t your typical wagons from years past. The designs of ‘the wagon’ have grown and changed in leaps and bounds and I’m excited to share my review of the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon with you today.
Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon Review
The first thing you’ll probably notice when you start to research stroller wagons is that there are several brands and options available these days. Today, I’m focussing on the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon.
What Makes The Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon Different
When you start comparing stroller wagons, you’ll see many similarities but there will also be a variety of differences. From what I’ve seen, the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon is one of the more affordable options that I’ve found. So if price is your main concern, definitely check this one out.
Assembly:
Putting this stroller wagon together was pretty simple and straight forward. (The instructions were also very easy to follow although my 15 year old was one step ahead of me the entire time… I was still going through the directions to make sure we didn’t miss anything.) Assembly took a total of maybe 15 minutes. It was mainly just opening the frame, removing packaging, and then putting the wheels, canopies, and snack tray on.
Features:
The Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon has some main features you’ll love.
- Child’s Tray: This stroller wagon features a center child tray with cup holders, which is the perfect place to store snacks and drinks on the go.
- Height-Adjustable Handle: This is a nice feature that helps ensure parent comfort.
- Two Large Canopies: These canopies feature breathable mesh panels and UV 50 sun protection keep your children shaded and protected from the sun.
- Awesome Tires: The all-terrain rubber tires with suspension are great for the park, the beach, and wherever your daily adventures take you.
- Footwell: Wagons of the past were flat. This one features a footwell for little legs and feet to rest comfortably when in sitting position.
- Lightweight: Designed with a lightweight aluminum frame, this stroller wagon offers easy maneuverability, transportation, and storage.
- Two Child Capacity: It can hold two children, up to 50 pounds per seat (for a 100 pound total limit).
- Buckles: Each seat is designed with a 3-point safety harnesses.
- Can Be Used With Infants With Adaptors: This stroller wagon accepts any Graco infant car seat with adapters (both sold separately) for adventures from day one.
What I Like:
There is a LOT of things to like about the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon! As mentioned above, it’s one of the cheapest options I’ve found, running in the mid $400 range currently. Assembly was a plus as it was quick and painless.
The separate canopies allow me to customize…..I can have one open and the other closed, both open, or both closed. The mesh panel is also really nice at letting a breeze come in and helps keep airflow moving. Plus, my little one loves being able to see out of it and watch what’s all going on around her.
The fold is fairly compact, in terms of strollers and stroller wagons. I’d say it’s about the same size as my (compact) double stroller when collapsed. Empty, the stroller weighs just under 32 pounds. (For comparison, most typical double strollers will weigh in between 25 and 30 pounds.). Overall, it really doesn’t take up all that much space in the back of my van compared to my other strollers.
I also like that the Graco Modes Stroller Wagon can be pushed (like a stroller) or pulled (like a wagon). While I foresee myself using it in push mode most, pulling will most definitely come in handy on certain terrains. The kids especially love how simple this stroller wagon is to operate.
This stroller wagon pushes and pulls easily. The wheels have done well on gravel, grass, tar, and cement. Ease of movement is a must so I really appreciate the design here. Plus, THE BRAKE! It is toe and flip flop friendly! I’m wearing my neoprene shoes (so basically almost like bare feet on top) and this brake glides on and off without any problems. Thank you Graco!
Even if you feel you are only in the market for a ‘single stroller’, consider the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon. The extra seat is perfect for stowing the diaper bag and other necessities as well as offers a spot for a cousin or friend to ride along.
Updates I’d Love To See On The Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon:
While these are not deal breakers by any means, I still want to point them out.
- Switching the handle from push to pull mode is slightly cumbersome. I’m shorter (5’1″) so I don’t know if that plays a part but I find it easiest to have one of my older kids unlatch one side while I do the other. I haven’t quite managed the switch myself yet. One thing to note is that you CAN switch from mode to mode with a child (or children) in the stroller wagon which is nice.
- There’s also a learning curve with folding. While this is also true with many strollers, I’m confident it will become easier with time. For now though, it’s a little hard getting the handle moved and the wagon collapsed for me. With that said, collapsing and stowing still only takes about 3-5 minutes tops.
- While there are a couple storage pockets, they are quite small. I’d love to see an added storage basket option that could pop on and off as needed.
- While I love the footwell, I would also like to see the design offer the ability to ‘morph’ into a flat bottom too. If my little one gets sleepy, she will have to continue sitting as is. Having the option to close the footwell and make a flat bottom would allow me to lay her down for a quick nap on the go.
All in all, I feel the Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon is a great option. The construction and features pair well at this price point. I love the Teton color and this stroller wagon performs well.
So tell me, what do you think about the new Graco Modes Adventure Stroller Wagon? Where’s the first place you’d go if you get one?

What an amazing stroller wagon, I am very impressed! I haven’t had a baby in over 8 years so this whole wagon thing is new to me. I love how sturdy and rugged they are, and how you can pretty much go over any terrain in one! This Graco Adventure Stroller Wagon sounds perfect, I would love to get one when I have my next baby! The fact that you can fit an infant seat in it with adaptors is really handy, too.
I am a grandma and I want one of these!! It sounds truly awesome. I also love the extra points you made and hopefully in the future they will use some of your suggestions.
