Gel Blasters sent me products for inclusion in my gift guide. All opinions are my own.
Blaster toys are one of my go-to toys for kids, teens and even adults sometimes. I find that a lot of kids enjoy blasters through their teen years and even into adulthood. That makes me feel good about giving them as gifts to kids as they won’t get outgrown as quickly as many other toys. I like giving them to teens because they’re something that doesn’t involve screen time that teens will really play with.
Gel Blasters puts a fun new spin on blaster toys. Instead of having to hunt down foam darts or balls, Gel Blasters use Gellets. If you’re familiar with water beads, Gellets are pretty similar. They start of as tiny beads, but when soaked in water they expand. They have a squishy consistency.
Gellets are non-toxic and are safe to have around kids and pets. In fact, they don’t even make a mess! They won’t stain anything they hit or leave any residue behind. They evaporate after hitting something, so you don’t even have to worry about cleaning up they yard.
The blaster can be used in automatic or semiautomatic modes. You can adjust the strength that your blaster is set to, which will alter how much being hit by a gellet might sting. The blasters are powered with a rechargeable battery.
Gel Blasters original blaster is called the SURGE. They also offer a STARFIRE blaster which is really similar except it is purple and works with glow-in-the-dark gellets!
The blasters come with some gellets and you can repurchase additional gellets as needed. You get 10k for $5.99 and they come in a bunch of different color options.
Because these will appeal to a wide range of ages, they’d be great gifts for sibling sets, or even for a kid and their parent(s) to play together! I personally know some men who would be happy to join in the fun!
Buy it: You can buy GelBlasters at GelBlaster.com, some paintball stores and some Walmart locations.
Win it: One person will receive a Gel Blaster Starfire blaster and 5k gellets! Enter using the giveaway form below. This giveaway is open to the US and will end 12/24 at 11:59pm.

That would be fun for kids. How messy is clean up for it?

My grandson got this as a Christmas gift, and he loves it. He likes the fact that it is glow in the dark too.
This does look like guaranteed fun! I like the glow in the dark feature.
