It’s so neat to see how everyone’s families have grown and changed over the past year and even comparing our own family card from year to year is fun. Our Holiday Card
When I first began designing, I truly didn’t have a specific vision. We had just had some family photos done so I had a picture but that was it. So I began with Printique‘s simple step-by-step process to see where we’d go. I selected the Christmas category.
From there, I started scrolling through all the holiday card design options. The more I looked, the more I was drawn to the one large photo design. As I continued searching, though, I realized that our color scheme didn’t really match. So I backed up and went to build my own card.
I picked the size and layout of my card. Scoured the backgrounds to find one that matched our family photo best. I continued editing by adding text and photos (to the front and back).
And it all came together beautifully to become our custom Christmas card! I absolutely love our card this year. As I mentioned above, I was drawn to the one large photo on the front side. Being a larger family, I prefer the single photo so everyone is bigger and more easily seen.
Then on the back of the card, I switched it up a bit. The front of the card is in color so I chose to do black and white photos on the back. I added one of my husband and I together and then a single photo of each of the six kids. Along with that, I added a Bible verse too.
And I love it!
Final Thoughts About Printique Christmas Cards
I am super impressed with how trouble-free and fast it was to create my card from scratch! Printique’s card design tool truly made it easy to build, edit, and create the exact item I needed. While I loved their pre-made templates, none worked for us this year so I’m glad they also offer a ‘build your own’ option too. Definitely check them out and order your holiday cards today!
