Thanks to Scribble for sending me these amazing books! As always, all opinions are my own.
I absolutely love when my kids make art projects! I think creativity is so important and our kids love to express themselves through painting, drawing, sculpting clay, and more. That said, it is HARD to decide what to do with all of these projects once they’re done; we just don’t have the space to save everything! Recently I heard about Scribble, a company that turns your child’s art into a custom book, and I knew it would be an amazing option for us!
Scribble: Custom Art Photo Books
The idea behind Scribble is simple; you take photos of your child’s artwork and then they compile it into a beautiful, keepsake book so you don’t have to hold onto all of the physical pieces of art! The books are hardcover and come in two sizes; 8.5″ x 11″ and 8.5″ x 8.5″. For our books I went with the 8.5″ x 11″ option. Each book contains a minimum of 24 pages but you can choose to add more for a small additional fee (200 pages max). I took photos of the artwork with my phone and then uploaded them to Scribble’s site to compile into a book.
One of the most amazing features of Scribble’s service is that they remove the background from your child’s artwork. That means that if they have a clay handprint or a really neat Lego creation and you take a photo against a plain backdrop, Scribble will erase the background and place the creation on a complementary-colored background. For artwork that takes up an entire sheet of paper, Scribble will keep the full image. You can always choose to change the background color and you can also add text under every image to remember when it was made or details about the art.
You can choose to make a Scribble book in just one sitting, or you can start one and add to it over time on their website. My kids will be taking an art class for their second semester of school this year and I plan to work on a Scribble book for each of them over that time period; that way I won’t have to save each piece of artwork for the whole semester! This time I just took all of the photos and uploaded them all at once to create my books.
Scribble makes it SO easy to compile one of these custom artwork books. Their site is very user-friendly and they even take care of things like brightening and straightening images where it’s necessary. They really take any hard work out of creating these books! You can customize the front and back covers and label the book with a title as well.
As a mom, these books are incredibly fun and bring back so many wonderful memories of our kids creating artwork over the years. I’ve been keeping their art in little totes in my office, and I’ve never once taken anything out to look at. It was a trip down memory lane to compile these books, and now I can get rid of the clutter without feeling guilty!
Scribble books would make fantastic gifts this holiday season! Check out their website for additional details and to get started on your photo book today!

Hi there! I’m Amber, a 34 year old wife and mom of two from central Minnesota. I love to be outside with my family anywhere the weather is warm (which means I spend half the year freezing). We’re a homeschooling family that loves to travel as often as possible! When I have a spare free moment, I love to read, take photos, and scrapbook. I’m interested in anything that makes life more fun; I also love socializing and sharing about my favorite products!

That is such a great idea. Our children see their work is more important when we find a good way to save it.

Sounds like Scribble really does make it easy – I love that you can compile the book over time, adding new artwork as the child produces it. I’d never heard of this before. Thanks for the introduction!

Such a nice way to preserve kids’ artwork and something they can be proud of. These would make such special gifts.
What a wonderful keepsake! It’s a great way to organize and takes up much less room than saving everything.
