It’s no secret that I love matching Tom & Teddy Swim Trunks for my son and husband. We’ve gotten them every year since our son turned four, and I’ll keep ordering them until they decide they don’t want to match anymore (which will hopefully never happen!). Tom & Teddy trunks are the best matching sets we’ve found and I’m excited to share our new favorite Father & Son set with you, and why they’ll make a great gift this holiday season.

Tom & Teddy Matching Father & Son Swim Trunks

I don’t know about you, but my husband is one of the most difficult people to shop for at Christmas time. He can never think of anything he wants or needs! That said, he loves anything to do with our kids, and he loves vacationing. Matching swimwear for him and our son is always a big hit! We actually planned a surprise trip to Florida (we didn’t even tell our kids until the day we left!) and really enjoyed our time away from the Minnesota cold. I brought along brand new swim trunks from Tom & Teddy for the boys, and they loved them!

The Red & Blue Octopus Set may be one of my favorite designs of all time from Tom & Teddy! They recently brought this set back; it was one of the original color ways from their 2012 launch and I love the vibrant red and blue. Like all Tom & Teddy designs, these trunks are made from very soft and quick-drying fabric. Inside you’ll find a silky inner lining that (according to my son and husband) remain comfortable all day, even after hours of wear.

One issue we’ve run into with other brands is that the colors can bleed or fade after use in saltwater or chlorine pools. Tom & Teddy trunks are resistant to both of those and we haven’t had any issues with loss of quality or color over time! The colors remain bright and the elastic holds up. We’ve only gotten new sets because our son is growing like a weed! 

The swim trunks have two side pockets and one back pocket with a Velcro closure. They also offer UPF50+ protection which is especially great for us when we travel in winter; our bodies need protection after not seeing the sun for months! One of my husband’s favorite features is the working drawstring; it is insane how many swim trunks don’t have this. 

We absolutely adore Tom & Teddy trunks. Matching swimwear is so fun, especially while traveling. We’re headed to Hawaii at the end of February and you’d better believe we’ll have multiple pairs of Tom & Teddy swim trunks packed.
