Typically, each review is written by just one writer from EmilyReviews. For this Owala review, we did something a little unique to us! Laurie and I (Emily) both were interested in working with Owala this holiday season, so this review is split between two of us! 

Hello. This is Laurie. I have two teenage daughters. This year, both girls have Owala drinkwear on their Christmas wishlists. Owala products are the new trendy drinkwear for teens in our area. I knew Emily had tried Owala before and was pleased with the products she received. When I told her the girls had them on their Christmas wishlists, she told me she had invited them to our Holiday Gift Guide and offered to let me join in her review. 

Today, I will tell you about the two products my daughters are asking for. They will receive them on Christmas morning. 

Savannah wanted the 40oz Tumbler. Owala’s Tumbler is made of stainless steel. It has double-wall insulation to hold the temperature of your beverage for an extended amount of time. The Tumbler has a splash-resistant 2-in-1 sip-or-swig lid and a removable/reusable straw. It is both right and left-hand-friendly. The Tumbler securely fits most vehicle cup holders making it convenient and easy to take everywhere. It is BPA and phthalate-free. Owala suggests hand washing the cup, but the lid is dishwasher safe. In addition to the Hip Catcut color shown, it comes in Candy Store, Cloudscape, Splash Zone, and Lost Valley.

Cheyenne asked for a 24oz FreeSip. The FreeSip is also made of stainless steel. It has triple-layer insulation! Like the Tumbler, the FreeSip also has a sip or swig lid that is leakproof. The top of the bottle has a button to flip the top open. After getting a drink, push it back down to lock it shut and protect it from being exposed to dirt and germs. The Stainless Steel FreeSip is available in four sizes- 40oz, 32oz, 24oz, and 19oz. It comes in more than a dozen colors. Blue Oasis is shown. 

Now that I have seen Owala’s drinkware in person, it makes sense why the girls would want them. They are beautiful and feel well-made. I know the girls are going to love them!

Okay – this is now Emily taking back over! I wanted to share my experience with Owala as well. I’ve worked with Owala multiple times over the past couple of years, and Ryan and I both love the Owala products we own. We own several tritan water bottles from Owala and we have their bottle brush as well. We use everything we own from them quite regularly. Especially now that we have a cat who likes to try to drink out of open cups! Water bottles are a great way to keep her out of our drinks. 

I know that stainless steel drinkware has a lot of benefits as Laurie shared above. However, I have always preferred to drink out of plastic or glass, so I love that Owala offers Tritan bottles. My 10-year-old niece commented on my water bottle one day months ago. She said she wanted that exact bottle. It was the “shy marshmallow” water bottle in the freesip style in tritan material. At the time, I assumed she just liked how it had a bright straw but a clear and white lid. It’s a cute color combination, I think! However, after I learned that Owala has become the new trendy water bottle or drinkware brand for teens, I realized that may have been why my niece commented on my cup.

Either way, I got her the exact bottle that she had commented on liking, and I got myself some new free ship Owala bottles. Ryan and I drink out of these literally everyday, and we occasionally have left them behind when visiting other people’s houses. So, we like having a handful to choose from and now we have six Owala bottles! I appreciate how the free sip bottles are easy to clean compared to many other water bottles that have straw features. The opening that you drink out of is fairly large so there aren’t as many tiny crevices to have to get into when cleaning. 

Owala products can be purchased online as well as at many local retailers including Walmart and Target stores, so you can even pick one up on Christmas Eve if you stop in to a local store!
