It has been delightfully warm the past couple of days and I am absolutely loving it! One thing that is a must for us as we head into summer is an ice maker in our kitchen. We live in a century-old farmhouse so we don’t have the space for a refrigerator with a built-in ice maker. When I heard about the Luma Nugget Countertop Ice Maker I knew it would be the perfect option for us. I’m excited to share more about the features of this fantastic ice maker and I’ve got a giveaway for one lucky reader, too!

Right off the bat, one my favorite things about this ice maker is how sleek it looks on the counter. It doesn’t take up a huge amount of counter space; it’s just the right size. In the past we’ve had ice makers that flip open on the top to get the ice out, and that’s been a bit inconvenient because of the height of our cupboards. I LOVE that the Luma Nugget Countertop Ice Maker has a pull-out drawer which makes it very functional. It also comes with a plastic scoop.
This ice maker has a digital display and it’s very easy to see when you need to add water, when the ice is full, and to turn on the interior light. You can also set the ice maker to start producing ice at a certain time which is a feature I haven’t seen before! We typically run it continuously throughout the day because we’re home, but if we were away for the day it would be nice to set for when we’d get back from work.
The image above shows the ice maker with the interior light on. You can see the amazing, tasty nugget ice that this Luma machine makes! We love the small ice for iced coffee, drinks, and lemonade in the summer! The ice always tastes fresh and is perfectly crunchy. Refilling the 2.3L water reservoir is simple; you just remove the plastic cover and pour it in. Almost immediately after filling the reservoir, the machine will start making ice and within minutes you’ll have enough for a drink!
You can actually make up to 44 pounds of ice in a day if you continuously fill and remove the ice from the machine. We love to use this ice for parties so sometimes we’ll bag it up and put it in the freezer for use later if we know we will need a lot. That said, this Luma Ice Maker makes ice nuggets so quickly that even if we have people over, it keeps up without a problem.
Overall I think this ice maker is incredible! It’s quick, quiet, compact, and makes deliciously crunchy nugget ice. It would make a fantastic gift as we head towards Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and wedding season, too.

I used to work at a hospital that had a nugget ice machine – I drank 3-32oz cups of water a day, mainly because I love the ice. Nugget ice doesn’t hurt your teeth when you chew it. (I also love Sonic Drive-In’s ice) Would absolutely love to have a Nugget Ice Machine (maybe I’d drink more water again ?

The Limited Edition Newair Anniversary Series 100 Can Beverage Fridge is a great price at $199 !!! We keep alot of drinks in the fridge and this would give me the much needed room I need, so this has to be my favorite items. Now saying that my ice maker in the fridge went out last month so I need the ice maker too… I hate going to the store to get ice a few times a week!
