My Thoughts
This movie really struck a cord. My husband and I have fostered in the past and had over 25 kids come through our home, some with extreme trauma and hard pasts. After about a 5-year break, we started fostering again earlier this year. Seeing the pain and hard circumstances that many foster kids go through is tough. So watching someone’s hard journey through foster care, a boys home, the marine corps, and life really tugs at the heart. But seeing someone overcome their circumstances is absolutely AMAZING!
Average Joe is a really great movie. It’s well-done and engaging. I definitely consider it a must see!
