Bissinger sent me chocolates and cocoa “bombs” for inclusion in my holiday gift guide. All opinions are my own.
When I get stuck with trying to find a gift for someone, I like to ask myself if a food-related gift would be a good fit. In most cases, it is! Some of the people who I find hard to shop for include elderly people, minimalists, teenagers, and anyone who I want to give a gift to but don’t know really well.
In most cases, finding a high quality, consumable treat would make an awesome gift for any of those people! There is no need to find a gift that they will use daily for years. There is no need to know their hobbies in detail, or to know what gear they already have for said hobby. You just have to know a little bit about their food preferences…and most people like chocolate.
When using a food-related gift, I think going with a really high quality, perhaps somewhat higher end company is often a great way to make the gift feel like a gift. That’s definitely the case with Bissinger’s. Their chocolate items are handcrafted. This company began in the 1600’s in Paris, and has been available in the US since 1845. Their website states that their goal has never been to be the biggest chocolatier in the world, only the finest. I think that mentality makes them an awesome company to turn to for holiday gifts!
I was sent two products that I want to highlight, but they have a really awesome range of treats, so I highly recommend browsing to see if something jumps out at you as being perfect for your loved one.
First, we were sent the Bissinger’s Christmas 16 ct set. This set comes beautifully packaged in a festive box that features the Eiffel tower in the background, telling a bit of their story right on the box for those paying close attention! Inside are 16 pieces of chocolate with all kinds of variety! Some are uber-christmassy, such as the Christmas tree pieces and Santa clause pieces. Some pieces include caramel, others are mint, solid chocolate, French Creme and caramel. We’ve only tried a couple so far, but each piece has been superb!
The second item that I was sent was a set of Bissinger hot chocolate “bombs”. These are part of their partnership with Hallmark, and they’d make a great addition to a family movie night during the Christmas season, or they’d be a fun stocking stuffer. To use, you place one in a mug and pour hot milk over it and stir, it will open and release marshmallows! These make for a really fun experience, and of course result in a delicious treat.
Whether for yourself or a loved one, check out Bissinger’s website to pick out some delicious festive treats!
