In Japan, crafting blades has been a tradition for centuries. Shun, a renowned producer of fine cutlery in Seki City, upholds this tradition with an unwavering commitment to exceptional quality and exquisite aesthetics. Each meticulously crafted piece undergoes a minimum of 100 individual steps to achieve its remarkable finish. The brand’s name, “Shun,” pays homage to the Japanese culinary concept of “shun,” which symbolizes the precise moment when ingredients peak.
Shun has recently unveiled a truly exclusive treasure, the Kagerou collection, a rare find available only at Sur La Table. Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

I like that they tell you how to take care of your knives

I’m in the market for a good bread knife right now. I like the PRO Bread 9″.
I like how they tell you how to hone the knives. I also like that with each use of your knife, the razor-sharp edge naturally bends over just a tiny bit. The edge is still sharp, but the sharpest part isn’t making contact with the food.
