Bruno Marc sent me shoes for review as part of my holiday gift guide. There are affiliate links in this post. All opinions are my own.
For the first several years that I was dating my now-husband, I worried a lot about getting ‘good’ gifts for him. When I was young, I thought gifts were only ‘good’ if they were fun or exciting. Ryan very rarely wanted anything that I’d think of as fun or exciting, so I felt like I couldn’t get him good gifts. Eventually I realized that what makes a ‘good’ gift totally depends on the person!
For some people, sure, fun gifts like hobby items might be the best. For others, getting more practical items that they hesitate to buy for themselves can be awesome gifts! And, Ryan is definitely one of those people. He thinks nothing of spoiling me, but he almost never buys anything for himself. Christmas is a time when I’m able to help him replace some of his essential items without him feeling bad about it.
This year, he needed some new shoes. His old pair had gotten thin in the toe area, so I could tell it was only a matter of time until they had a hole in them. Yes, he wears out items that long!
I was really impressed with the variety, well-rated reviews, and price points of Bruno Marc shoes. These are available right on Amazon, making them an awesome option for last-minute shopping!
I decided to get him two pairs of shoes. For one pair, I went ith a style really similar to his shoes that were wearing out. I thought these would be a safe bet that he’d love them because they were quite similar to his old ones. They were the Bruno Marc KnitFlex Breeze Mesh Sneakers. This shoe comes in a wide range of colors, but Ryan’s last shoes were black so we went with the black version. The upper portion of the shoe is highly breathable making them great for summer use or for people who have feet that sweat easily. They appear to have laces, but they’re actually just elastic so they slide on and off without needing to be tied. They’re fairly versatile in that they can be worn casually or with sort of a business-casual type of look in my opinion.
Ryan has found these to be really comfortable to wear, and they go well with almost everything he wears on a regular basis, making them a great staple in his wardrobe.
For the other pair of shoes, I went with something that was a little different for him! When we were younger, Ryan wore a lot of slip-on shoes, sort of along the lines of traditional Vans. He quit wearing those several years ago as he felt like he got too old to pull them off. However, I knew that he really liked how comfy those slip-on style shoes were. I’ve noticed a new type of slip-on loafers that have gotten really popular for kids and adults alike. I’ve thought for a while that he might really like those, and that he might like some lighter colored shoes. So, I went with the Bruno Marc Casual Slip-on Loafers Stretch Shoes 1.0 in the color ‘beige’ according to the brand, but they looked more of a light gray online and they look the same color (light gray, in my opinion) in person as well.
The upper is cotton, and the soles are vegan leather. They are machine washable which is awesome especially for lighter-colored shoes. These came with an extra insole for added comfort but Ryan has found them really comfortable to wear without the added insole. They also came with extra laces. The laces are more for looks than function so I can’t see them getting worn out, but it’s still a cool little bonus!
Ryan really loves these slip-on loafers. He says they are extremely comfortable, almost like wearing slippers. He really likes this “beige” color. I think it’s always a good idea to have some dark shoes and some light shoes in your wardrobe.
Both pairs of shoes that he received from Bruno Marc feel really well made. They’re both reasonably priced too, in the $35-$45 range.
Win it: One lucky winner will get to choose between the two styles of shoes that I reviewed. The Casual Slip-on Loafers or the KnitFlex Breeze Mesh Sneakers, in the winner’s choice of size and color based on availability. This giveaway is open to the US and will end January 2nd 2025.

I would love the slip on loafer for my son. So good looking!
My husband would love the black shoes your husband wore/wears. He likes “no nonsense” shoes.
