PugMug sent me products to include in my holiday gift guide. All opinions are my own.
I was so tickled to discover PugMug! PugMug is a business that allows you to upload pictures of your pet, and then they turn them into customized art designs. They’ll put your cat or dog in fun backgrounds like a meadow, or put them in a costume so they look like an astronaut or artist. They have all sorts of different options!
When PugMug reached out to me I was still in need of some gift ideas for my 17 year old niece, who has a dog that she’s had since she was little. The two have grown up together, and she just adores her doggy. My niece is also pretty artistic, so I loved the idea of putting her dog onto an artistic looking background.

I uploaded a few pictures of Lilly and was presented with lots of options for art designs. Their designs are made with AI, so they will vary a little bit. In our case, I noticed that Lilly’s unique eyes (one has glaucoma so it’s sort of grayed/smoky looking while the other is dark brown) showed up accurately in some designs but not all of them. I’d say over 80% of the results were really good in our experience. I decided to go with a Pollock-themed design as the backdrop to highlight my neice’s artistic side!
I was sent a notebook and a tote, and opted to use the same design for both. Both look really nice in person, I can’t wait to give them to my niece. I know she’ll love them!
I think personalized gifts are always really nice because they so clearly are made special for the recipient, that they naturally make the person feel special. While I went with a notebook and a tote bag, there are other products available through PugMug. You can have your pet’s artwork put on a t-shirt, a phone case, an ornament, and so many other options.
