Our family has seen a LOT of change over the past year.  First, we got an unexpected call for a foster child.  We had closed our home several years ago so this was a complete shock.  But he was considered fictive kin so the county placed him in our home and then relicensed us after the fact.  Then, my husband’s mother moved in with us for over 6 months while recovering from some complications after surgery.  And now three months ago, baby sister was born and was also placed with us. 

So we went from a family of 8 to a family of 10, then 9, and back to 10 all within a very short timespan.  This has resulted in ‘musical bedrooms’ as we rearranged several times trying to figure out the best room arrangements.  The largest sacrifice came with choosing to give up our exercise room/office to accommodate the extra people.  So our master bedroom became ‘EVERYTHING’.  It’s now our bedroom, home office, exercise room, and even houses some of our foster kiddo’s clothes as he now shares my closet too.  We were a mess and I was ready to get organized.  Thankfully, Vasagle is here to help!

The Before

Assembly – How Hard Is It?

Before I get into giving more specifics on each piece, I’ll give you the quick low-down on assembly.  My husband and son put all three pieces together in under two hours.  The instructions were easy to follow and everything went together quite easily for them.

First off, let’s agree that not all L-shaped desks are equal!  We already had an L-shaped desk in our ‘master bedroom office’ but it just wasn’t cutting it.  The design was NOT functional and it was always a big mess.  So when we first started talking about redoing this space, the desk was the first thing we decided needed to go.  When originally considering our options, we thought we were going to avoid another L-shaped desk.  However, as soon as laid eyes on VASAGLE’s L-Shaped Desk with Power Outlets, our outlook changed.

This desk is pretty great.  We always loved the general size of most L-shaped desks but this particular one has so much more to offer.

First of all, this L-shaped desk features a reversible design!  This allows you to install the drawers on either the left or right side, making it truly perfect for your bedroom, study, or office.  We set it up opposite of what the stock photo showed as we wanted the shorter end on the same wall as our window.

The next thing that makes this desk unique is that it comes equipped with built-in LED lighting.  The remote makes it easy to choose your setting and offers 20 colors, 6 flashing modes, 5 brightness levels, and 5 flashing rates, allowing you to easily create a personalized room atmosphere to suit your mood.

I also really love the built-in 2 drawers and extra shelf below, which all work together to provide extra storage to keep our workspace organized.  The drawers are lighter weight and can’t hold super heavy books but work well for office supplies, paperwork, and other office essentials.

Constructed with a steel frame and reinforced crossbars, this PC desk can support up to 110 pounds on the tabletop and 44 pounds on the monitor stand.  The overall design is pretty fantastic with lots of work space, some storage, and definitely aesthetic appeal.
